I saw carb the fuck up and though "Oh fucking hell Freelee again". I could've stopped reading there because I knew I would agree with you lol. Freelee needs to chill and most vegans do as well lol
I used to be a quiet vegan and to be honest vegans really annoy me! The world doesn't need to know every meal that you eat and the world doesn't need to know that you are a vegan... you're not gonna get an award for eating plant based food
So, are you still vegan or no? How can you be aware of the cruelty involved in animal products and then go from vegan to non-vegan? Genuinely interested in hearing your answer :-)
@Flex4Ever I'm not still a vegan no, I went vegan because of the health benefits (i do care about animals though) but in time it started becoming too much and I was putting my health at risk and so I stopped.
People around me have gone vegan as a way to lose tons of weight and they have turned into the most annoying people who constantly need to be re-assuring the world that they are vegan and keep talking about it literally 24/7
So if it was exclusively for health benefits, you must've been plant-based. When you say it became too much and you were putting your health at risk, what do you mean? A whole-food plant-based diet has been proven, with several studies to be the optimal diet for improving health, reversing and curing lifestyle diseases and longevity. One can't switch to a plant-based diet just like that. It takes preperation, interest and patience to get into plant-based eating. Your body has to get used to a whole nother way of being fed. So part of why you didn't go vegan full time was also because of the examples people around you put on? Are some of the approaches you encounter a factor as to why you won't go vegan?
I must admit that people who go vegan, just to say they're "vegan" are pretty annoying, that's not what it's about and if they think that, they've gone vegan for the wrong reasons. I must say though, that noone should expect "vegans" to ever shut up about veganism. Some vegans are quiet about it, just doing their own thing, that's fine. But some people feel so strongly for the animals that they can't witness other people stupporting the animal agriculture industries, me amongst others. Surprise, surprise :) "The world will not be destroyed by those who do evil, but by those who watch them without doing anything" - Einstein If people who care about animals should shut up about veganism, how are people supposed to know how their self-indulgence is hurting other sentient, breathing, living creatures? Anyways, thanks for reading :-)
@Flex4Ever I was restricting myself to 600-700 calories a day and became obsessed with wanting to be skinny. The way I decided to go vegan was a day before going to bed and that was it. Woke up the next day eating plant based foods and yes I felt great doing it but when you restrict calories too much, it can be dangerous
Why would you do that? That's exactly what you shouldn't do on a plant-based diet. Plants have another effect on the body than animal products. 600-700 calories a day on any diet is ridiculously low and dangerous. No wonder why you compromised your health that way. Just know that it had nothing to do with the food, but had everything to do with the amount of food.
I was simply telling you that your attitude towards weight-loss and plant-foods were wrong and so don't blame it on the food, but instead on your lack of knowledge in the area. Not to sound condescending or anything. I just dislike it when someone discredit plant-foods when it's the healthiest choice out there for the human body. I just want to spread the truth and hopefully encourage people to make better choices for their health. Good day to you :-)
@lime_rampljuset Most of the more vocal vegans and vegetarians were more so out of passion than a trend. But I know what you mean, some are way too try-hard that it comes off as phony and lame. :-P
I think unfortunately that the loudest of all groups tend to reach the most people and you do that through shock and awe. This can apply to all groups including vegans of course.
lol I probably had ancestors that were racist as fuck or had slaves you think I give a shit about my ancestors you probably have some fucked up ancestors trust me it's not in my face at all.
@Josht13 I know. I may jave some fucked up ancestors. But its different. Slaving was brutal and fucked up. It wasn't essential for survival. Hunting and eating was. You wouldn't havd been here if your ancestors didn't hunt, kill, and eat animals. Every person on this word has ancestors who killed and ate animals. A " vegan" just wouldn't have made it in prehistoric times. I was beibg sarcastic when i said " brutally killed" . its essential. Nothing brutal about it. Its survival. And im glad they did it. Its why im alive now. Now let me go get some grilled chicken
@Heera There is nothing wrong with continueing the tradition though. I mean if you dont want, thats okay. But as long as its an non-endangered species, and its legal, i think hunting must be awesome. I have hevee done it. But i can see what a high it must be to do it.
There is a problem because it's affecting billions of animals everyday, the environment and even the health. It is legal because it is about money, the same slavery was legal a long time ago. If you told someone to stop buying slaves they'd tell you that is a personal choice. I'm not against hunting (even if I don't support it either) I'm against the meat industry, which is bad for everyone even if the people do accept the truth or not.
@Heera Well i dont know about the meat industry , so no disagreement there But you can't compare it to slavery. Animals are not the same as humans. We dont eat humans. Cattle, on the other hand.. My point was mainly about hunting and how. its not really "evil"
I was talking about slavery as people not thinking usually that their facilities affect other people/animal's lives. And honestly, it doesn't matter if it's a human or animal, no one should be able to kill anyone. At least, not in the way meat industry does. I think you should watch earthlings and other documentaries. Not necessarily to become a vegan (I'm not... yet) but to understand better vegan's point of view. Have a nice day!
Because vegans don't live on grass. Animal products are harming your health no matter how much you consume, it does nothing to benefit you and it's not supposed to be in your body in the first place. If you think vegans only eat grass I feel sorry for you. We eat a shit load of varied delicious plant foods that aren't detrimental to our health and the environment and that didn't involve the abuse and murder of innocent creatures :-)
@Flex4Ever Lol i was just hoking with the grass man. And dude, humans are omnivores. We are supposed to eat whatever we like. As long as its not poisonous or something.
I know that you don't think vegans only eat grass, obviously haha. And dude, humans are herbivores. We only started eating meat for survival purposes, now we do it because of our taste buds, purely for selfish reasons. And it's destroying our health, the environment, forests, it's a contributor to species mass-extinction and mass murder. Over 150 billion animals are killed each year because of human greed. And oh, animal products are indeed poisonous, why do you think we cook it to be able to eat it? Even then it's poisonous. Real omnivores like beers and wild boars eat it raw. If we did that, we'd most likely get sick.
@Flex4Ever nah man were not herbivores. Were omnivores. Just look at our teeth and our body and even our brain. And we cannot eat raw meat now because were not used to it, but if we did that we would get used to it. Prehistoric humans first ate meat raw. Only later did we start cooking it. the reason most animal products, and other foods as well are poisonous has a lot to do with chemicals and preservatives. And a lot of the green stuff ( sorry im just lazy to type) is also not good to eat raw
our jaw is as flexible as the jaw of other hebivores our intestines are too long to be carnivores your canines can't rip flesh you have no claws, no ability to run as fast as your "food" either you can't kill any animal without a weapon you get sick if you eat raw meat and it has nothing to do with being used to it Please do some research before stating "facts". I understand you eat meat because you like it and you don't care about animals, just don't find excuses and don't sugar coat shit because it still smells.
@Heera oh, you need sources to know people in ancient times ate raw meat? Yes our canines can rip flesh, its just easier with tools. And our nails aren't as strong as carnivores, but we dont have hoofs either. We are not carnivores or herbivores, we are omnivores! And men have a natural instinct to hunt, its in our nature, our brains have evolved like that, maybe you dont get that because you are a FEMALE!. I have seen plentt peiple kill rabbits and chicken with their hands. Of course we cand chase and bite and take down a fucking buffallo without weapons. But if you think for one second that humans are herbivores then YOU arw the dumb one.
"And our nails aren't as strong as carnivores, but we dont have hoofs either. We are not carnivores or herbivores, we are omnivores!" Well well well. Do apes have hooves? Do rabbits have hooves? Do birds have hooves? Do turtles have hooves? Damnit, they must all be omnivores then. "And men have a natural instinct to hunt, its in our nature, our brains have evolved like that, maybe you dont get that because you are a FEMALE!" How come I don't have an urge to hunt right now? I bet you don't either, do you feel like running down a squirrel, tear it open with your "canines" and eat it raw? No, of course not. With that claim, I must also assume that the only way you obtain meat is to hunt it yourself? Or is your type of hunting, walking to the grocery store and buy a nicely packed steak, ready to cook? Hehe... please.
@Flex4Ever Chimpanzees are omnivorous. Birds are omnivorous. Even turtles are omnivorous. Only rabbits are pretty much herbivores. In fact some spezies of turtles and birfs are largely carnivorous. You disnt think they were herbivores did you. And you realize , our closest fenetic related spezies, the chimpanzee, eats meat and somwrimea even partakes in cannibalism! Tell me again, how apes are herbivores!!! noido t hunt little animals. Im not some predator uncapabale of tought processing. As a man you are goal oriented. Now i dont know how to exactly explain it. We are more visual, are goal orientes and have better spatial awareness than women. It is said it has to do with hunting. Besides id you ever teied hunting, youd know what a thrill youd get out of it. As a boy, me and my dad and some. of his friends caught a rabbit once. He said he did thinks like that many times as a kid. Unfortunately boys dont learn things like that these days anymore. I haven't done any pro hunting though.
Some nihilists out there who don't appreciate or respect the life of others will hunt. I bet you that the majority of humans, males included, will not kill an animal given the chance. You know the baby in a crib story? You put a baby in a crib with an apple and a bunny rabbit. The day the baby chooses to play with the apple and kill and eat the bunny rabbit, you call me. Human babies are the purest that exists and in this case a perfect example of natural instincts. The reason why some people would hunt and why some sick people get a thrill out of it, is because they're being indoctrinated and brainwashed into being disconnected to nature by society and it's sick lies. Watch earthlings and tell me that you're not repulsed by it.
@Flex4Ever How does that even make sense man. A baby can't kill an animal unless mybe an insext by accident. And little kids can't bring themselves to kill an animal. coz they are soft. Its something you are supposed to learn to be a successful hunter. Its something a boy was taught by his father. If you play games, you can watch the new god of war trailer where kratos teaches his so to hunt.( of cpurse witj some fighting surreal creatures in between) I mean it looked so beautiful, the two of them bonding. And i dont like sport hunting either. Just hunting for food. I was scared too the first time i saw a chicken being beheaded and stuff,, or the time my uncle tried to behead a goose for us to eat later, but he didn't quite cut through and it struggled a lot before dying.. I found it brutal how he and my dad laughed it off and went back to work. Later on you realize, its not really evil, you just have to get used to these things. People these days are way too soft man.
@Flex4Ever In my culture, we have a saying, which translated to English would go something like this:" the sin of killing can be undone by eating". Which makes sense because the sin of taking the life of an animal, can be u done if you eat it, as you are doing it to feed yourself and your family.
Nice use of the straw-man fallacy right there. "Just hunting for food. I was scared too the first time i saw a chicken being beheaded and stuff,, or the time my uncle tried to behead a goose for us to eat later, but he didn't quite cut through and it struggled a lot before dying.. I found it brutal how he and my dad laughed it off and went back to work. Later on you realize, its not really evil, you just have to get used to these things." This whole thing is psychotic and I feel sorry for you that you feel this way. You can apply all those things to every evil action out there; rape, slavery, murder of other humans, assault etc. "I once saw someone rape another human being. Later on you realize, its not really evil, you just have to get used to these things," when you change things around a bit it sounds psychopathic, the victim doesn't change anything. An evil act is an evil act, no matter what, no matter who. "You just have to get used to these things." No, just no.
And frankly, I nor any animal whose abuse and murder that you pay for, doesn't give a shit about your "saying". Let's apply it to humans too right? "Last night I had me a good old juicy human baby roast and it was delicious. But hey, it's alright because I used it to feed my family and myself." Again... No. Just no.
@Flex4Ever Its funnyhow you compar. Eating animals to eating humans or rape. That you think it is evil or psychotic. You have been so brainwashed by the greenies. Arguing with you doesn't make any sense. You can go back to eating grass
I make perfectly sense, you just can't make sensf of it... I don't know why. Besides, yes I DO compare the two, because both actions are evil and both actions have a victim. That's kind of the base line of the comparison. "You have been so brainwashed by the greenies," nope I haven't. I just stopped being a selfish douche trying to justify my evil habits by spewing bullshit arguments all over the place. I was once like you, a lot of hardcore previous meat-eaters were just like you, but we all came around in the end, because we know that the path of compassion and kindness is the right one. "And none of these evil things you said are necessary, while eating animals IS necessary. At leaat for us omnivores, that is." Let me laugh. If eating meat is necessary then why am I and millions of other vegans still alive? Animal products kills us slowly, plants heals us.
@Flex4Ever Vegans on average have less lean mass and physical strength than meat eaters have. Having less is not always healthy. And meat doesn't kill you. Thats just some bullshit. I know people who ate mwat all their lives. Actually almost everyone i know eats meat. And you claim you have stopped doing evil deeds. To me you all just went soft. We won't see eye to eye, im done here. Im very kind and compassionate. To my own species. I dont care about the rest, as long as they dont go extinct. Most if them are mindless beasts and i refuse to "humanize" them.
Well, that's just untrue and you know it. I'd like to see you fight mac danzig or lift heavier weights than patrick baboumian since you have so much muscle. You can also smoke your whole life and live to well past 100. I never said it killed you instantly, I just said that it increases your chances of getting various diseases. Well, then we're done here. You just admitted to be a speciesistic selfish douche, who doesn't give a shit about other living creatures. Have a good day none the less.
@OP lol there's about to be a bunch of butthurt people in the comments, but what can you do? 💁🏼 You can't please everyone. I'm glad you did post this though.
You'll probably be vegan one day. I mean, you clearly care about animals. One day, the cognitive dissonance will fade and the excuses will stop. You can only ignore your conscience for so long before it exhausts you. :)
I do plan on going vegan one day, yes. I am not making excuses? I simply don't like the attitude that some vegans have and it turns many, including me, away from veganism.
My mom getting her knee operated on is an exuse? The fact that we are struggling right now to pay the rent and just to live is an excuse? I don't have any money to do it and that is an excuse and the fact that so many vegans ignore this fact and say that I am making "excuses" and refusing to help me out and help me understand was exactly the point of this take. 😭
I want to understand. I want to learn more. The attitude was not needed.
I was homeless and I was still vegan. I'm not saying that you using these incidents in your life as excuses are a bad thing, I just think you're underestimating how easy being vegan is and how affordable it is. No attitude was intended, but if you really wanted to go vegan, you wouldn't let other people's behaviour keep you from living your truth. Who cares what other vegans act like, because there are a million more who are wonderful and as perfect as any vegan can be. To further prove that I didn't intend for any negative attitude to come across in my comment, I'd like to offer my help. If you'd like to understand and learn more about veganism, I'd be happy to help. My expertise is in plant based nutrition, as a student majoring in dietetics and nutritional science. Feel free to message me if you have any questions or concerns. :)
Let me guess. You didn't even read it and now you're mad. 🙄 This wasn't even about accepting animal abusers like you said. Stop straw man-ing my argument. I even said I am PLANNING to go vegan. I don't eat pork or beef.
"Instead of attacking individuals that do not join your movement, you could better educate them on what it means to be a vegan, and how you are helping change things for the better by being vegan. Post vegan recipes, tell people how it has changed your life for the better, and how you simply want to spread the vegan message without the hate that it has recently been ensuing. Martin Luther King Jr. used the same type of approach in order to educate people on the Civil Rights Movement, and look where that has gotten us. Spread love without using the hateful tactics, please."
"In the future, I do plan to go vegan. When I get out of my parents home and I am living on my own, I will make the giant leap. I get that it will be hard, but I want to do it for the animals."
Persanaly I find no respect being a vegan I get calls an extremest and my mom kicked me out of the house for this I get all this because imtrying to change the world
No, I was just stating that most people don't like that approach of vegans because they don't like to hear the harsh truth so as they might feel guilty.

The "Vegan" militants want us to eat like we live under Pol Pot, and then they want to impose that kind of rule upon us:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZH11GctMLGwI don't care if anyone's a vegan, vegetarian, or whatever. Just can't stand PETA and the preachy vegans/vegetarians.
Same here.

I've known plenty of vegetarians and vegans, and contrary to popular beliefs most are not the "preachy" type by my experience.
Me too but I have encountered some of those vegans.
The ones who are preachy aren't true vegetarian/vegans, they're just following a trend... unlike the others whose lifestyle is being vegetarian/vegan
@lime_rampljuset Most of the more vocal vegans and vegetarians were more so out of passion than a trend. But I know what you mean, some are way too try-hard that it comes off as phony and lame. :-P

I'm glad my sister is not a pretentious jerk about being vegan lol. Good take though 👍🏻 #nonpreachyvegansarethebest

out of curiosity how tall is yr sissy?
@redeyemindtricks She's probably about as tall as he is. 😛

Haha. I don't even eat pork.

Very well said and I agree. More people will be receptive if you focus on positives instead of alienting them.

Yes, but then they only had 2 choices. Hunt and eat other living beings or starve. Today we have the resources to go vegan, no matter who you are.
@shortandsexy
But still, why live on grass when you have delicious meat?
Because vegans don't live on grass. Animal products are harming your health no matter how much you consume, it does nothing to benefit you and it's not supposed to be in your body in the first place.
@Flex4Ever
How does that even make sense man. A baby can't kill an animal unless mybe an insext by accident. And little kids can't bring themselves to kill an animal. coz they are soft.
Its something you are supposed to learn to be a successful hunter. Its something a boy was taught by his father. If you play games, you can watch the new god of war trailer where kratos teaches his so to hunt.( of cpurse witj some fighting surreal creatures in between)
I mean it looked so beautiful, the two of them bonding.
@Flex4Ever
In my culture, we have a saying, which translated to English would go something like this:" the sin of killing can be undone by eating".
No. Just no.
@Flex4Ever
Its funnyhow you compar. Eating animals to eating humans or rape.
That you think it is evil or psychotic. You have been so brainwashed by the greenies. Arguing with you doesn't make any sense. You can go back to eating grass
@Flex4Ever
And none of these evil things you said are necessary, while eating animals IS necessary.
At leaat for us omnivores, that is.
Pefect sense*

@Flex4Ever
Vegans on average have less lean mass and physical strength than meat eaters have.
Pleeeeeasee stoooooop
There's too much good meat out there to be a vegan😁
There are too many delicious edible plants and health benefits not to go vegan :D
@Flex4Ever I eat that stuff too, but I would never give up eating animal or dairy products
Well, I'm sorry to hear that.
Many vegan products are made to taste just meat
@shortandsexy I know. I eat veggie burgers and mock chicken. They taste okay.
Lmao the title was total click bait, but over all I really liked this take.
That was the point haha. I am trying to piss people off so that they will click it lmao. Trying to win some money. 🤑
Thanks hun. :) I was very afraid to post this because I already know people won't hear me out and will get butthurt.
@OP lol there's about to be a bunch of butthurt people in the comments, but what can you do? 💁🏼 You can't please everyone. I'm glad you did post this though.
Thanks haha
Yea a lot of vegans i talk to usally act like snobs and think they are better than me because i eat meat and they dont
Yeah and a bad attitude won't make anyone go vegan
It's hilarious how some posters are doing exactly what you said was off-putting about them. They don't care lol. Great take!
Exactly! Thank you.
Thank you for your helpfulness.
"My beef with vegans"
Best take title I've ever read 400/10
✌️ Lol
Yeah like Anthony Padilla from Smosh is a vegan and doesn't act like a pretentious douche about his friends eating meat
Yep exactly my point :)
Yup I agree
And than the omnivor said, "of course I'm aganst animal cruelty, unless the crulty is common and I can share the burden with their rest of society"
Now that you have told an animal rights activist to go accept animal abusers go tell a homosexual to go apreteate homophobs
No I read it but supporting people who don't support you shows no respect for yourself or what you believe in
Okay. But bottom line that I am trying not to say is that you can fight for something you believe in without being a jerk about it.
Persanaly I find no respect being a vegan I get calls an extremest and my mom kicked me out of the house for this I get all this because imtrying to change the world
Yes I understand Hun.
"No I read it but supporting people who don't support you shows no respect for yourself or what you believe in"
Thats the mindset of an totalitarian. "If you aren't for me, you are against me."
@FakeName123 again, Now that you have told an animal rights activist to go accept animal abusers go tell a homosexual to go apreteate homophobs
4.bp.blogspot.com/.../missingthepoint-1.gif
@FakeName123 what the he'll is wrong with you
Hell damn auto correct
Nothing wrong with me. I am just calling you out on your totalitarian mindset and you assume it equals me supporting animal abusers.
There is literally no correlation between the two. Thats why you missed the point I made big time.
^^^ Haha this
I honestly don't even know what you are talking about.
@FakeName123 I will believe you as soon as you convence me to become omnivore
You are still missing the point. Nowhere did I say I want to convince you to become an omnivore.
Your mental gymnastics are astonishing though.
@FakeName123 www.ecorazzi.com/.../
Of course this attitude will turn off the meat eaters. If you don't sugar coat shit people are not going to listen to you.
Yep. 😛 People are hardheaded as I said in my take.
I was talking about the meat eaters, they're the ones who can't accept the truth
I don't care. People in general are hardheaded. Are you insulting me?
No, I was just stating that most people don't like that approach of vegans because they don't like to hear the harsh truth so as they might feel guilty.
Yeah. I guess you have a point. This was just a rant post more than anything. 😒

What the fuck.
Just a healthy dose of dark humor/cannibalism
Chickens are cannibals though.
