Drink plenty of water and take fresh fruit juices diluted with water. Add lemon juice to a glass of warm water and have it first thing in the morning.

Buy astringent lotion and mix it equal parts of rose water and keep it in the fridge. After cleansing, tone the skin daily with this chiller tone, using cotton wool pads. Clean the face and pat the skin briskly with rose water-soaked cotton wool pads. This improves blood circulation to the skin and gives you a fresh glow.

A salon clean-up includes removal of stubborn blackheads. It helps prevent acne. What many people may not know is that acne starts with a blackhead. Neglected blackheads irritate the surroundings tissues of your skin, resulting in inflammation. This sets the stage for pimples and acne.

A single pimple does not mean you have acne. Pimples occur on the surface and they may just signify inflammation, but in acne, there is bacterial activity and therefore, infection. Seek treatment in good time.

A 'pick-me-up' face mask can leave your skin clean and glowing. When the skin looks dull, mix lemon juice and egg white and apply it on your face. Wash off with water after 20 minutes. Then give the skin a compress with cold rose water-soaked cotton wool pads.

Fruit packs are also great for adding radiance to the skin. mix grated apples with ripe papaya and mashed banana. Apply it on the face and leave it on for half an hour. Wash it off with plain water. It not only adds a glow, but also removes tan and softens the skin.
