4 Common Myths About Fitness

1. Creatine.

4 Common Myths About Fitness

I have heard people saying that Creatine is a steroid and its very dangerous. The people who say this are mostly non lifters.

What is Creatine Actually ?

Creatine can be found in meats. Creatine is actually produced naturally in your body too by the liver. Creatine is changed into a molecule called phosphocreatine which serves as a storage reservoir for regenerating ATP. ATP stands for Adenosine Triphosphate. Its chemical formula is C10H16N5O13P3. It contains adenine (one of the base pairs of DNA) and Three phosphate groups. It basically supplies energy to the cell.

ATP are high energy molecules with three strongly bound, phosphate. When phosphate breaks loose, energy is released. Creatine's job is to replenish the phosphates to keep ATP running. Supplemental Creatine increases the sheer volume of available fuel to power ATP.

2. Green Tea.

4 Common Myths About Fitness

I have heard people saying a lot that green tea helps in losing weight. Now let me tell you something, (IT DOESN'T.) That is just a Big Myth. Green tea is very useful though, don't get me wrong, but it doesn't help you in losing weight. Green tea can be often used as a pre workout, like coffee. Although, coffee is filled with more caffeine than green tea. Green tea is loaded with powerful antioxidants.

3. Losing Weight.

People often try the wrong Method in losing weight.

Some people often stay hungry most of the time and don't eat at all, and they starve themselves. They think that it's the best way to lose weight.

4 Common Myths About Fitness

This is a very unhealthy and dangerous way to lose weight, it can be very dangerous to your health. So don't be that person.

Some people avoid things like rice, pizza, fries, etc. because they think it can make them fat but it all depends on your diet.

What is dieting actually?

4 Common Myths About Fitness

Dieting is the practice of eating food in a regulated and supervised fashion to decrease, maintain, or increase body weight. In other words, it is conscious control or restriction of the diet. You can eat pizza, rice, fast food every day and can't get fat. It all depends on your Macros and Calories per day limit.

Now the question is, what is the best way to lose weight?

Calorie Deficit is the best way to lose weight.

What is Calorie Deficit?

A caloric deficit is any shortage in the amount of calories consumed relative to the amount of calories required for maintenance of current body weight. A deficit can be created by reducing input/calories consumed (lower food intake) aka dieting. If you eat boiled food everyday in a large amount and you think you won't get fat because it's boiled food then let me tell you that you can get fat with boiled food too, if you eat it so much that it exceeds your calories per day limit.

If you count your daily Macros and Calories intake limit, per day, and eat according to it, which means not exceeding your daily macros and calories limit, then you can never get fat.

4. Weight lifting volume.

I have often heard and seen people in the gym lifting heavy weights with the wrong posture, minimum range of motion and with wrong movement speed. They do it just because they think it will make their body more muscular and it will be more effective if they lift heavy weights.

4 Common Myths About Fitness

Your posture, range of motion, and movement speed is more important than heavy weights.

Some people lift heavy weights in the gym but with the half or more short range of motion, which doesn't count at all.

4 Common Myths About Fitness

Just try lifting normal amount of weight in any exercise but make your movement speed is very slow, especially your negative movement, and make full range of motion. Beat your ego to the ground. You will scream like a bitch because it will be more effective than lifting heavy weights with the wrong posture, half range of motion, and fast movement speed.

This is all for now folks. Take care and don't forget to turn on your beast mode in the gym. ;)
