Agreed! I was teased because of my curved body big hip thick legs and small waist i felt like a freak like i had my bottom body of fat person and top of a slim girl. I never wanted to wear shorts do to that. Now I'm being noticed and stopped because of my shape

I agree 100%. I went to meet a woman who described herself as curvy just last week.. she had to of been 250lbs+ !!! I freaked out and faked a family emergency! lol I was expecting a Curvy woman not ROUND!
I also feel the need to mention another term I see often.. BBW I think it meets big beastiful woman? It's like NO just say your FAT! So misleading..

Curvy is down to whatever people want it to mean. If you're obese, you could technically be called curvy because the fat adds curves doesn't it?
Overweight women CAN be curvy too- if they have fat on the right place.
Cury is a bone structure, wether u r fat or skinny, u can't BECOME curvy
Hm... no. Just about every woman's body has curves. It's a part of puberty. So you can become curvy, no matter how much weight you gain. This wasn't meant to be a discussion by the way.

This is why I hate that word, because it's such a misnomer. You can be skinny and small breasted and still have curves, but that doesn't make you curvy, according to some, who think curvy is big boobs and thighs, ugh. So confusing.
Truth is, many people use this word with different meanings :)

But the first one is skinny not curvy. Being curvy is not just having narrower waist.
Pretty fair approach, I do think a lot of fat girls hide behind the word curvy on dating sites though. Not to sound rude or shallow but I've seen it a lot.
#2 is what comes to my head every time I think of curvy, and my prefence. Never really liked skinny girls because most of the time they're skinny because of social pressure. If they're naturally skinny, good for them!
I agree with a lot of things you said but I was just wondering which categories would you put women who have very wide hips with no waist definition or women with only a defined waist but narrow hips into?

I thought most people fit your criterion for curvy... as in the waist is usually smaller than the hips looking from the front.
