ok so if you have not had your period in 10 weeks and you are not sexually active (therefore ruling out pregnancy) , does it mean that you are in ovulation mode this whole time or what?

That's very unusual. And no, I don't think it's ovulation - it doesn't last that long. Are your periods usually this irregular? If so, then you might not have anything to worry about, but if they're regular but missing for over 2 months, you should go to the doctor to get checked out. Something might be interfering with your natural cycle like a hormone imbalance or other issue that may need to be addressed.

well they started off irregular when I first got them, but the last two or three times they have been regular so I thought maybe they are beginning to become regular but then its been two months now, and I was feeling sick some mornings so I thought maybe that has to do with an absence of my period for over two months?

Maybe, but the sickness could be your body's way of telling you something may be wrong. I had irregular periods for 6 years so I know it's possible, but more than two months is very strange and should be looked at by a doctor. Anovulation is a menstrual cycle where the ovaries do not release an egg and can be linked to various causes. It would be wise to get checked out just in case.

because yours were irregular too, how often would they come? would they still be monthly?

At first, they were every six weeks, then after a year or two, they came every other month. I had only six periods during the year for about 4 years, but they were regularly irregular - if that makes any sense. They were only on the even numbered months of the year. On the odd numbered months, nothing would happen. A few months after I turned 19, they became monthly and happened 12 times a year and have been like that ever since.

wow so you have never had 10 weeks between, hmmm maybe they're just still being irregular, I don't know :/

Not ever. That's why I think you should speak to a doctor about them. They might still be irregular, but it's always good to be safe rather than sorry. I'm hoping that it's nothing serious, but you never know.

By the way, do irregular periods run in your family? This may be something a female relative has dealt with as well and may know the cause of it.

Do you sport intensily?
Did you changed your eating habbit's drasticly?
Did you lose a lot of weight?

could be the reason as to why they haven't come. When sporting to intensily the body doesn't produce progestron (?) and that is the hormone needed to ovulate. you simply haven't ovulated.
My period stayed away for 2 months too, they got back as soon as I gained some fat and worked out less.
