That's very unusual. And no, I don't think it's ovulation - it doesn't last that long. Are your periods usually this irregular? If so, then you might not have anything to worry about, but if they're regular but missing for over 2 months, you should go to the doctor to get checked out. Something might be interfering with your natural cycle like a hormone imbalance or other issue that may need to be addressed.

Do you sport intensily?
Did you changed your eating habbit's drasticly?
Did you lose a lot of weight?
could be the reason as to why they haven't come. When sporting to intensily the body doesn't produce progestron (?) and that is the hormone needed to ovulate. you simply haven't ovulated.
My period stayed away for 2 months too, they got back as soon as I gained some fat and worked out less.
