I require help possibly from a GERMAN: What on earth is this "menstrual anti-cramp mini-pad with intensity levels" thing?

So I went to the store today and found this really weird "mini pad" thing for menstrual cramps or whatever, but apart from having 15 intensity levels, I have ZERO clue what this thing does, how it it used, or exactly what it is.

If anyone knows what this is and how it works and what it does, I'm all ears and curious, thank you.

I lived in Austria for a year, never heard of it but from the description it's supposed to help with with period cramps through electric stimulation.

I guess it's like those electric ab trainers that also send impulses so your muscles will contract. And i don't see how that would help with pain at all?

Well technically it was Italy. South Tirol and everyone spoke german there so people always get confused about how I learned german in italy, so I just usually I was in austria

Well of course *I* don't, my girlfriend gets really crappy cramps and so I was kinda curious, but at first I was just completely confused. But it's costly enough that I wouldn't buy it just for decoration (~15$).
