It could be a lot of things. It could be stress, a change in your diet, lack of sleep... or it could just be irregularity, which is probably pretty normal at your age. I began mine at age 10 and mine always came every 28 days, but when I was 14, it started to come every 20 days for about a year. I'm sure though if you are worried it wouldn't hurt to see a doctor just to confirm that everything is ok! :)
Is it possible you simply have an irregular period? I'm on birth control now but before I was, my period was all over the place. I would have two in one month and then not have a period for two months and it was all messed up. If you aren't sexually active then obviously you aren't pregnant but it could just be irregular or if you have been stressed lately, that can cause delayed periods.
You're 14... its suppose to be irregular till you're in your late 10s to late 20s...

Your period sounds irregular the doctor could give you birth control pill to regulate you
Im 14 and mine skips around a lot, sometimes it'll be early, sometimes late, it can depend on the stress you are going through, or just your body in general.
