I play volleyball and i have practice and games 4 days a week and sometime tournaments on the weekends so i'm always active right now. When volleyball season is over i'm going to be a sloth, i guarentee
I used to exercise every day of the week for several hours each say, these days though? my eating hours have replaced my exercise, which is a bit upsetting
I could use some strength training, but I am pretty lean as it is as I am 5'8" and weigh 143 lbs. I do want bulk a little more. But I do have a fairly active job remodeling houses, so that is a lot of exercise.
dont have to thank god for staying active and kick ass genes!! i have to eat 5000 calories and 95 pounds.. My mother, her mother the same,, hate when guys are at the gym all the time, 6 packs are not what women want,, they are abs so what?
I am currently working with a personal trainer 3 days & week, & doing cardio on my own 3 days a week. I lost 10 Ibs last month & 4 Ibs the last 2 weeks. I'm loving the results & am not going to stop until I reach my goal.
Hell no. I did that crap all through my 20s and I'm tired. I'm not fat or anything and move around just fine so until that starts to change I've got a new goal in life to be as lazy as I can without ending up a hobo
I do a lot of walking, not sure if it counts as a workout.
The article does make a good point - women don't get made fun of as much as guys for being fat. It's actually bad for us, since that'll make it easy for us to continue with being obese!
Not only is it bad because it makes it easier for you to continue to be obese, it makes a lot of girls oversensitive. Call a girl fat and she'll get really offended, upset, maybe starve herself, maybe cry etc. I got a bit fat and people always laughed at me for being fat and having a double chin, I just laughed and told them that it was "relaxed muscle", then got my fat ass in the gym and put the work in to lose it.
I feel like girls get body-shamed WAY more than men. While I do think guys are more likely to poke fun at each other and maybe take it too far than female friends - society definitely shoves a lot of body-shaming stuff in women's facing. Every magazine is a photoshopped model with tips on how to drop 10 pounds, sculpt your abs, tone your arm jiggle, etc. You do not see the media nitpicking at every part of men's bodies nearly as much.
I don't take all that media crap seriously. I only want to retain my natural body structure, something that my lifestyle permits. I do watch my diet and do a lot of walking. Though my busy life doesn't give me time for yoga, that is the only thing I am guilty of not doing.
If you take the right magazines (lifestyle/"gender"-magazines, like GQ, Men's Health, Vogue, Elle,..) you'll find the same pressure. There are just more womens magazines and more advertisement which uses women (famous quote: sex sells). And women react more sensitive to all this stuff in my opinion.
I work out for about 2hrs a day, 4-5x/week.. my body craves it, I feel sluggish & groggy if I don't work out for a few days straight! I love it & love the results!!
I do 4 or more hours a week which consist of weights and cardio, then on Fridays I play fast paced ping pong and do arm curls with a beer bottle; best way to work out the core.
I don't work out. I use to but lately I've been always tired due to medications so I haven't been active. I never work out, but would like to start doing it regularly again.
4-6 hours a week previously , but just started on Mike Mentzer's High Intensity Training programme. I can feel my body breaking down from the intensity lol
That's what will make it grow ;) Keep it up, fitness is the only thing in life where the outcome is guaranteed and proportional to the work you put in!
Aww damn. Of course think first, act later. Tric tendonitis needs more than a week for sure. You can tape it, look for special massages, and stretch a bit. Make sure you warm up as you should, that's a major cause for injuries. Still can exercise abs&legs though. Good luck!
I use to work out more than 6 hours per week, but I'm lazy now. I try to do something, but before I know it, it's already night time. It seems like it's always to late to workout every day, assuming I even feel like it.

I workout quite a bit, actually. I go to the gym once a day, and I drink a lot of fruit juices from bolthouse farms everyday:
No i don't work out. I've already hit a plateau where a chiseled bod and jaw line are concerned. It's difficult to achieve a status higher than perfect, so i settle
I work out varied routines every day, running, stepper, weights, swimming and dance as well as martial arts. I'd say I normally put in about 2 hours daily, keeps me fit, trim and sexy, lol.
I work out 3-5 days a week. It's helped a lot with keeping my metabolism up and with general tone. I can now carry more weight on the scale without looking like it due to muscle tone.
I voted D... there's usually 1 long fitness training of about 2 hours and 2 to 3 times a combination of 30 to 40 min hope trainer followed by a series of exercises. Total at least 4 h, rather 5.
I never "work out" per se, but my university's so full of stairs (and it doesn't help it being quite a large-area campus). I swear, I can probably be a professional athlete by the time I graduate.
1 to 3 hours a day, 5 days a week, consisting of cardio, weight training, & muscle endurance routines. add a couple more hours on the weekend when I'm playing football or basketball with my friends.

Agree to disagree. I think 6 packs are sexy. Just nothing too muscular/over-the-top
I work out everyday. The work out spans a little over an hour of intense working out which is why I voted 'E'
I'll read up the article and comment here a while later :-) Thank you for sharing this article - seems good

Well, being a girl has its own advantages :)

Out of actio for a week at least for me.
