Why these women always talk about wanting a man who can hold an intelligent conversation when they can't hold one their damn selves?

So, I definitely don't think all women are that way, but there is something to this. It's nothing new, though. Even when we didn't have feminism around, women always wanted the best guy they could get. Just like men want the best woman they can get. We just have some differences in criteria, and generally women can afford to be more picky because there's more demand for them. It's true for men who have great jobs, are very intelligent, good-looking/fit, etc. too. They've got more choice. So the natural consequence of that is you get more picky; because you can.

That is true in some cases but certainly not in all cases of these type of women.

People often look for in a partner aspects about them they want more of in themselves. A dumb person who doesn't want to be seen that way may subconsciously prefer people with higher intelligence than what they have as their intellect can influence them as a person. They can therefore have more knowledge of things through listening, even if they can't get involved in the subject at the time themselves. Sometimes, this isn't the case and it is just through how we are brought up and the media which influences people to look for an intelligent partner to have 'intellectual' conversations with, even if they are missing this trait themselves.

It is counter intuitive but their perspective is just as valid as anyone elses. Hope this gives you a better understanding.

Secondly there are great women in the world and great historical FEMALE figures, maybe there are more things that men have achieved but that's probably because women have had to fight to be accepted in society, they have had to fight to be heard, to share their ideas.
