Is there a healthy/safe way to lose 5lbs a week?

How tall are you? Soo-the very best way to lose weight is slowly and sensibly-I understand weightwatchers online works better than anything out there. The reason you have to lose slowly is because you not only have to lose the weight, you have to keep it off forever. And the only way you can do that is learn how to eat correctly. Weightwatchers helps you do that and it is not very expensive at all.
Then you have to excercise-diligently, with discipline. Walking or jogging every day really helps to take the pounds off. But remember, this is a lifestyle change.
Losing a pound a week is healthy. Any more than that and you risk serious health problems.
If you are considerably obese, such a weight loss rate is not necessarily unhealthy. For the average person, it's a different story.
Weight loss of 5 lbs per week is done the way any other weight loss is done: through calorie deficit (in this case, burning 2,500 more calories per day than you consume).
I wouldn't attempt something like that except under a doctor's/nutritionist's care, though. It's a pretty drastic rate, and for someone who could do it, they should probably be under a professional's guidance, anyway.
Swimming. Best exercise you can do for losing weight safely.
First of all, it works out your entire body, and in order to lose weight you need to burn energy throughout your entire body. Second, it's safe since your entire body is supported in the water.
Rowing also helps lose weight as well. I did rowing for one year and it helped me lose fifty pounds while also gaining muscle!

At first yes. much of the weight you will lose will be mostly water weight. But after the initial maybe 2-3 weeks the fat should burn off slower and muscle gained slower. Don't stress it too much just put in the effort and lower your caloric intake and you should be fine! g'luck!
Sadly not :'((( Keep off carbs (veggies/fruits exception) and lose a healthy and probably more meaningful weight (fats) of 1lb/week.
Losing weight doesn't always mean getting healthier. Look up "The Calorie Myth" by Johnathan Bailor. You may not necessarily lose 5 lbs a week, but you will adopt a healthier lifestyle.
