Have you ever tried a rice cooker? Did you like it? Do you have one? Or Would you like to try one day?

Question

I had a friend from Korea. She was exchange student and she cooked delicious food all the time. One day, she had brought her rice cooker machine to  Europe  from Korea. And we were like? Why?
And she used the machine to show us how the taste is different.
The rice machine makes the rice really cooked well and rice is always delicious. We loved the result!

And have you ever tried one of those? Do you have one? What do you think? Is there a really difference to you?
Or would you like to try it someday?

WOW! Yes! I have an American one. I bought it from Walmart. This is my 3rd one in 8 years. I don't know how to cook rice w/o it. I thought almost everyone owned rice cookers (seriously). My grandmother, my mom, my aunts, uncles, cousins etc. we all cook rice with rice cookers. My great grandmother is the ONLY person I've seen in our family cook rice on a stove (very serious). My mom's rice cooker looks like the rice cooker you have labeled as the Chinese one, but hers is sterling silver and black. Mine is black with a clear top with a black handle & buttons that say power, brown rice, white rice, steam, keep warm.

Yes, I'm in America, and I have a rice cooker. It definitely makes rice taste A LOT better. Way better than pot boiling rice.

I do enjoy rice from time to time. I would have to do research and find out what brands are good and what's important for rice cookers. IE: speed vs heat or presser.

very interesting question, I'll defiantly look into rice cookers. also is there a difference between rice cookers and crock pots?

I actually cook brown rice in the oven. Such a rebel, right?  I would totally get the cooker when I use it for two people or more, though. For one person, they tend to make a lot of rice.

Never used one, but I could just eat steamed rice and soy sauce for a whole meal, so yeah, I'd like anything that made cooking rice less hard, because it's so hard now.

I have the Chinese version one, it's fantastic! Just clean the rice, pop in there and leave it, it will do the rest, actually helps lol
The stove is time consuming and you have to check it all the time, or the rice will burn the bottom of the pot lol

I always make rice in the rice cooker (unless it's biryani or something). I don't have anything fancy though it's just a large rice cooker, probably holds 10 cups. The closest out of the 3 you've placed there in looks to the one I have is the Chinese one.

We cook rice using a cauldron. our rice still tastes delicious like a rice cooked in a rice cooker. The taste and softness of rice depends on the type of rice you're going to cook and if you turned off the fire on the right time. So yeah :)

Yes, I have one. Different brands cook it differently, but I'm happy with mine. My friends prefer cooking rice on the stove, but there's not much difference really.
