Obesity... how to help?

Anonymous
Ok so I'm not obese at all. My weight and bmi is completely average. However, I know three people in my family who are obese. My mother, but she recently got surgery to help with that, and she's doing good. My younger sister, who isn't extre overweight, but she still needs to lose some. And my cousin who I am very close to, and he's the one I'm most worried about. My younger sister plays a ton of sports, eats really healthy, and has a better lifestyle than me, yet she almost weighs as much as me. I think she just needs to lose her baby fat, though. My cousin is extremely overweight, and very limited to what he can even do. He recently told me and our other cousin that he was prone to diabetes. And he's been prone for a few years. He weighs two hundred and sixty pounds last time I checked, and he's thirteen. He more than likely weighs more now, because he got really tall. Me and my friends try to help him make better food choices at school, but he doesn't do anything. For example, he drinks Mountain Dew a lot, and I tried to take it away from him. A lot of people would say I'm unfair, but im not even allowed to drink caffeinated drinks. Anyways we also tell him not to put so much of the schools really fatty ranch on his food, but he says-well if they're going to let you have it with salad you might as well." Even though he doesn't eat the salad and doesn't realize that you aren't supposed to put that much dressing on a salad. I'm really worried about him but he's too stubborn to let any of us help.
