Wisdom teeth, does the meds make you say weird stuff?

I made an apt today to get my wisdom teeth removed in July, which I know is a ways away but I was told its best to be put under general anesthesia. I've seen all these viral videos of people coming out of surgery and saying weird things and admitting secrets, and my friend texted me weird things when he had his taken and later blamed it on the meds he was on. It's not that I have major secrets but I'm a pretty reserved person and do not enjoy sharing much with anyone, including my family who will be taking care of me afterwards. Anyone who's had this done, what was your experience with the anesthesia and the meds? Were you fully aware of what you said and did?

I just got my wisdoms out a week ago. I feel like the best comparison is it kind felt like being really drunk. I was aware at moments but also don't remember short chunks. I am a pretty reserved person as well and I was very quiet the whole time and as soon as I got home I went to sleep and when I woke up the drugs had worn off. You'll be fine!

Nothing happened to me lol. When I was done with the surgery, I just felt like I'd smoked a shit ton of weed. Like too much weed and I could barely function. I mostly smiled, took a selfie, laughed at myself in the mirror, smiled some more, and then fell asleep.

I went around and talked everyone's ear off, and told story after story NON-STOP for over half and hour before I was even aware of it. And I was high as a kite!

Yeah, a couple of the other patients did and my girlfriend and Mom were there part of the time as well! Apparently, I had them all laughing hysterically just like I could do when I used to drink.
