Should I get a personal trainer?

I work overnight security and there is minimal amount of movement required for this job. So I'm going back to the gym but I'm wondering if I should get a personal trainer. I have a good idea of what to do at the gym but I feel like I could use some pointers. Especially with nutrition since my diet is way off since I work over night. What are the pros and cons about booking a personal trainer? And what would be some good supplements to buy since I don't really have a chance to eat 4 to 6 times a day? (Ex. Protein, amino acids. Etc)
