Question about liquid soap use?

When you use liquid soap, do you wash you hands, apply the soap and then rinse? Or do you put the soap on your dry hands, then rinse it off?

I know this is probably the WORST question ever asked on GAG but I had to know :D

I use bar soap most of the time (I wish we used it more often :) )

1. Get my hands wet by putting them under the pouring water for a few seconds.
2. Pour the liquid soap onto the palm of one hand.
3. Rub the soap around both hands for several seconds.
4. Rub the same way but under the pouring water for a few seconds.
Done.
