How to grow a beard properly?

I am 20 years old and facial hair grows in certain areas but not others. It doesn't grow in the area between my sideburns and chin. If I grew my facial hair out now it would be a goti with sideburns. I am 20 years old, how do I get it to grow all over?

ok, I am in the exact same situation as you. I shave, I shave every 2-3 days so i don't look weird. I think facial hair has more to do with genetics. I think you should workout because a chiselled clean shaven jawline looks way better than a stubbled normal face.

also let me add, its a myth that beard grows faster if u shave regularly and another impt point, its pretty normal for hair growth to have barely started at 20, its very normal to have proper growth in mid 20's

Genes play a big factor in it. It doesn't grow in at all though? Like not even enough for a thin strap or something? In any case, you can at the very least grow out the goatee it'll be good.

Tiny bits grow but it's a lot slower and a lot thinner.

Well I guess it's genes I got a full beard at 17 anyway keep shaving them with a good razor don't use cheap ones and then it will grow in a good way :)

Genes, the shaving thing is just a placebo effect type thing. You just think it's growing in thicker cause you were used to seeing no facial hair, the hair didn't change like that though
