Yes, pregnant women can swim and it's actually good for them to do so. There are water exercise classes designed specifically for pregnant women at many public pools.
The fetus does not breathe air. They only breathe air after birth. While the fetus is growing in the uterus, it is suspended in amniotic fluid which I thinking mostly water. You have probably heard about pregnant women having their "water break", that is actually the amniotic sack breaking in preparation for labour.

No, swimming while pregnant is very safe and usually even encouraged because it's an easy way for expectant moms to get exercise without putting stress on their joints.
Also, babies don't breathe while in utero. They take their first breath after they're born.
It's not like the way you're thinking... Nothing will be happen to baby when you're under water..
I have heard thatDoctors advice to have sex during pregnancy if baby takes breath from vaginas than you can imagine what would be results
Haha I hope you aren't being serious. The baby doesn't breathe inside the womb either. That's why people are always so happy when it starts crying after it is born - it means it managed to start breathing.

Do you know how being pregnant works, I'm 100% serious right now. Yes pregnant women can swim because babies don't breath that way. Actually the baby grows in liquid.
Omg, you win troll award of the year. This had me laughing so hard.
The baby is suspended in liquid while in utero, so it's already swimming.
Babies are attached to your cardiovascular system through the tube on their stomach, and receive oxygen from you directly. They won't drown.
Swimming is great for pregnant women! It relaxes your body and it can soothe any back pain while you are still getting exercise.
Your stomach is filled with amniotic fluid, the baby doesn't get air either way. I don't know if you can go swimming but the oxygen definitely won't be an issue
Can you imagine the quief noises that people would have to put up with if pregnant women would breath from their vaginas. Lol!
At least you don't think the moon is made of cheese like some girl I knew.yes they can i've often seen pregnant women swimming
Lmaoooo. It's not like the pregnant woman fills up with water as she goes swimming. Also, I don't think the fetus "breathes" while in the amniotic sac
no you can swim until the last trimester, I believe. It doesn't induce labor. The risk of infection is the danger.
The baby gets everything it needs - nutrition and oxygen - through the umbillical cord. This is why water births can happen safely.
How do you think the baby gets oxygen now? You really think he's breathing air through your stomach? And will water magically suck into your vagina and kill the baby?
Isn't that like asking if women can shower, or take a bath well pregnant? Of course the can swim.
Girl, you just made my day 😂👌🏼
If you're supposed to do minimal walking, how would she be able to swim
I don't think the water will get inside, lol.
