Like won't the baby drown? How can the baby breath if the vagina is underwater? Should the mother keep her vagina above the water so the baby can breath?

Yes, pregnant women can swim and it's actually good for them to do so. There are water exercise classes designed specifically for pregnant women at many public pools.

The fetus does not breathe air. They only breathe air after birth. While the fetus is growing in the uterus, it is suspended in amniotic fluid which I thinking mostly water. You have probably heard about pregnant women having their "water break", that is actually the amniotic sack breaking in preparation for labour.

No, swimming while pregnant is very safe and usually even encouraged because it's an easy way for expectant moms to get exercise without putting stress on their joints.

Also, babies don't breathe while in utero. They take their first breath after they're born.

Haha I hope you aren't being serious. The baby doesn't breathe inside the womb either. That's why people are always so happy when it starts crying after it is born - it means it managed to start breathing.

Your stomach is filled with amniotic fluid, the baby doesn't get air either way. I don't know if you can go swimming but the oxygen definitely won't be an issue

no you can swim until the last trimester, I believe. It doesn't induce labor. The risk of infection is the danger.
