Is it possible for pregnant women to go swimming without drowning the baby? How can the baby breathe if the vagina is underwater? Should the woman keep her vagina above the water to prevent the baby from drowning? If she goes completely under the water does that make her a human submarine?

Pregnant women certainly can go swimming. It's a good exercise for women. Then exception is, once their water breaks, the no swimming. Same may be if they have an issue with the vagina opening up as the pregnancy goes along. Most women do not have that problem, and if you do have that problem, your physician will make you aware of it.

The baby can't drown because they're attached to the mom. The baby is alive due to the mom eating, drinking, breathing, etc. So the only possibility of the baby dying is if the mom drowns (this is something nobody wants to think about).
