Dandruff or head lice?

So I went to summer camp for a week. When I was driving home I got a call that a girl in my cabin had head lice. I have always had dandruff and when my mom looked at my head there were tiny white specs. The only thing is they were bigger than my normal dandruff specs. They were very easy to pick or comb out. I was with that girl every second of the week. Is it head lice or normal dandruff?

They would probably be smaller if it was lice as well as stick to your hair. But get some tee tree essential oil or shampoo and put some on your scalp as a preventative. Maybe have her check again. The itching isn't always reliable once you know you could have it because your brains like "omg I could have lice! I feel kind of itchy! Omg I have lice! aaahhhh the itch!!" It's a psychological thing.

lice eggs are hard to pick out. its probably dandruff.
get the shampoo for lice and use it just in case

Signs and symptoms of head lice include:

Itchy scalp.
Scratching. Some people scratch so much that the scalp
and sometimes the back of the neck become red and irritated.
Crawling sensation.
Seeing bugs.
Finding lice eggs (nits).
Swollen lymph nodes
(many people call “glands”) in the neck.
Pink eye.

You should get some treatment in case the lice is coming on you
and the white things could be lice eggs or it could be regular dandruff

Dandruff. Lice will appear like small bugs crawling around on your scalp. If you're overly concerned get some lice shampoo.
