How do I stop worrying about if my heart will give out?

I'm 26 and have been worrying a lot lately that my heart is just going to stop. Apparently there is a condition where it does just that and now I can't stop worrying about it. I've gotten 3 ekgs and they say it all looks fine but my heart literally skips a beat. I can feel it

I won’t say you’re imagining things… I’ve had my fair share of health issues that I had to convince doctors of. Or rather, waste a ton of money only for it to finally get bad enough that they finally notice. But I will say- from experience, anxiety and stress are not good for your heart and can tend to cause that weird heart flutter that feels like it skips a beat. It can also give you a little bit of a scare which makes it even worse. You’re also fairly young to have heart issues.


Next time you’re stressing about it. Stop, sit down, clear your mind, take a deep breath in, hold it for 3-5 seconds, and then slowly exhale completely. Repeat this process x3 and try to keep your mind clear. If you feel better afterwords, it’s possible it could be anxiety.

I notice it mainly when I'm falling asleep. Laying on my side I can feel my heart beat then like stop for a sec then start back up. I've taken my pulse and felt it too. I'm hoping it's just anxiety. I got a anxiety disorder. I have an appointment with a cardiologist so maybe they can tell me for sure

Some things that work for heart disease are

1 - Taking things that protect your liver like Hawaiian spirulina, turmeric, Ceylon cinnamon, lions mane mushroom, Reishi mushroom, turkeys tail mushroom, dandelion powder tea or capsule with milk thistle capsules or teas, vitamin c and a.

2 - Doing loving kindness meditation, transcendental meditation, humour meditation, Intercessory prayer meditation and animal video meditation.

there is no reason for you to think this will happen since it seems as if on 3 separate occasions, your heart is perfectly healthy. what you think you are feeling is likely anxiety because you are so worried about something that isn't even happening.

I hope so but then again my dad had a widowmaker and got an ekg during it and apparently they said he was fine so it makes me question them

well you can always make sure you eat healthy and stay healthy as much as you can. that's all you can really control. but i truly think you'll be okay!

Do heart problems run in your family?
I had the same issue for a few years. It was the result of my heart rate being very unstable due responses to nervousness and a lot of anxiety. Do you struggle with that? Some of the anxiety may be due to this itself, adding to any symptoms you think you’re feeling

Heart disease runs on my dad's side. I do have an anxiety disorder so it could be that

Yes. Definitely watch out for yourself physically (heart disease runs on my mom’s side), do be aware that cortisol and anxiety can mess with the heart’s sensations too— take care of yourself
