Girls, do you shave it all off?

My doctor recommended that I shouldn't for health reasons but I prefer to. I've had a wax done and it was so painful that I'll never do it again. I hate shaving because of the stubble, but I don't know any other options. What are some recommendations?

I have a Holywood total wax every 2-3 months. Sure, it hurts like f**k, but it's the best all round for me. There's electrolysis, but I believe it is so time consuming. I've never tried it, and I don't think I could spare all the time needed. Hair removing lotions are a no-no as well.

I dunno if depilatories like Nair can be used on genitalia. Why did your doctor say shaving is unhealthy? I've never heard that, although I know you're more likely to get infections in the hair follicles.

My doctor said the opposite. Apparently it's higher risk for infection if you shave it all off because there's nothing to protect the vagina

You either suck it up and get waxed, or you deal with the stubble - if you wanna be hairless that is, otherwise just trim.
It doesn't affect your health to be clean shaven, yes hair has a purpose, but not so much you should consider it when shaving.

The hair protects your vagina from certain infections and when you shave if all off, there is nothing to protect and stop infections from happening
