500 calories is 500 calories. it doesn't matter if your 500 calories consists of a slice of cheese cake or if it consists 3 pounds of carrots. to you it may seem like a lot. but it's probably because you have an eating disorder and you're out of sync with what your body needs.
also, you probably don't actually know what a healthy diets is made up of...there is no such thing as a healthy diet that consists of 500 calories. and you probably don't know what healthy food is. your body needs protein, carbs, and fat. from the sounds of things, you've probably either eliminated the protein or the carbs. so maybe you're living on protein shakes, or maybe you're living on fruits and veggies. neither one is healthy. and then you've probably just about eliminated the fats, with the exceptions of the little treats that you reward yourself with. I don't know if you're really rewarding yourself with them, you probably just cave into temptation because you were once a big girl, you enjoy food, and when a body is deprived of something, it craves it even more.
why not do some research on what makes up a healthy diet for weight loss?
also, by living on 500 calories, most of the weight you lose will not be fat, it will be muscle. why? because muscle requires a lot of calories to maintain and it uses your bodies resources, if your body doesn't have enough resources, it's going to consume your muscles as a line of defense.
look up what your basal metabolism is. your basal metabolism is the number of calories you burn while you're doing nothing (watching TV). it's the calories your body burns to maintain muscle, brain function, digestion, to heal wounds, to maintain your immune system and to KEEP YOUR HEART PUMPING! then at the most, eat 500 calories less than that number. if your basal metabolism requires 1700 calories, then eat 1200. then you can exercise to increase your calorie deficit.
you want to be able to maintain your weight loss without damaging your body in the process.
if you insist that you're not hungry and that 500 calories is all your stomach and hold for one day, then at least invest in a good multi vitamin, because otherwise your hair is going to start falling out and your nails start to change colors. if you see white spots in your nails, it means your malnourished.
so listen to your body. unfortunately, if you have anorexia, then you are going to interpret that signs that your body is giving you the wrong way and you're going to get sick.
just out of curiosity, what are you eating on a daily basis? give me an example of your menu.
1. I'm not sure how tall you are, or what your bone structure is, but I highly doubt you need to lose weight when you only weigh 128 pounds.
2. 500 calories a day and an hour of cardio actually falls under the definition of anorexia nervosa. Please, if you want to lose weight, do it in a healthy way and be patient. Keeping the weight off requires a lifestyle change (less junk food, for example). If you starve yourself and go back to your old habits, you'll probably gain more weight afterward (like ivarei said), and if you don't stop starving yourself, then you'll start having loads of health problems and probably go into cardiac arrest eventually.
Be careful. It isn't worth gambling with your life to be thin.
Ok for one 500 calories isn't enough for your body to do normal things. 655 + (4.3 x weight in lbs) + (4.7 x height in inches) - (4.7 x age) = ____ calories. Now put in all your information for that formula and that's the amount of calories your body burns with you sitting on your ass. Now you HAVE TO HAVE AT LEAST HALF of that amount above. Mine is 1492 so I have to eat at least 750 calories or my metabolism will slow and I'll gain weight easier. As long as you eat half or more of your bodies natural caloric consumption you will maintain the same metabolism and at the same time lose weight.

after a month of that, yeah, you will probably weight 105. but once you go off the diet, after 2 months, you'll weigh around 140. if you wanna look hot (sarcasm) like a concentration camp prisoner, eat 350 calories per day, that's the diet that the Nazis put the Jews on.
500 calories isn't enough to maintain a proper metabolism, so initially, you'll see weight loss. as the weeks go by, the weight loss will be less and less dramatic. and when you start eating a normal amount of food, your body is going to pack on the pounds like it's its job because you've been starving it.
Lol very good answer!
i'm no expert, but living on a diet of 500 calories per day for an extended period of time might eventually be LETHAL. it other words, you'd starve to death. but one thing is for sure, living on diet like that would leave you looking like a walking corpse.
i hope you have the strength and the intelligence to respect your body and not deprive it of what it needs to function. be sensible and lose the weight the RIGHT WAY.
it is very unhealthy to lose that much weight in so little time. If you weigh 128 you shouldnt even need to be down at 105, I don't know your height or body structure but 105 would look really thin, like too thin
to lose 23 pounds in one month, you might have to eat less than that. but do you want the weight loss to be permanent? or are you planning for it to come back?
have you written your last will and testament yet? you're going to need it because you're going to end up dead.
