Girls, Has anyone ever experienced this?

I've been on Depo Provera since June 2012 and I had my last shot in January 2015. About a month after my first shot, I haven't had any periods. I've been off of the shot for 9 months now and still haven't had any periods... should I start to be worried?

Ps: I haven't been sexually active since 2011 and even then I've taken pregnancy tests and they came out negative before. And I've still had periods until I got on the shot

Nope I had exactly the same thing, it's normal for it to take up to a year for your periods to come back. Although as a girl to a fellow girl, nothing quite prepares you for the misery of them coming back, it's like having your first period all over again but worse because you don't remember them being as bad as they are... If it's really stressing you out though that might be why your periods haven't come back yet, your brain can do weird things to your body like that. I went to the doctor about mine after about 8 months and she said it was normal but put me on the pill and it made my periods come back after the first month of pill taking.

Oh ok, I'll probably have to do the same thing lol how are the pills? Do the doctors put us on a particular schedule to take them or do we have to come up with our own schedule and stick with it?

I've had a few issues finding the right pill for me but if you explain to your doctor that you have side effects they'll keep switching you on different pills until you find the right one for you. As for the schedule you get to pick, just make it a really easy time of day for you and give yourself an alarm on your phone or something so you don't forget :)
