Do you think I successfully cut out my ingrown toenail?

I spent close to an hour shooting warm water in to/on it and using clippers, and by the end I definitely don't feel the same pressure that I did. When I was pulling the nail back it looked like the front was dug in to the flesh. It's still red and inflamed though but maybe it needs a day or two with neosporin and bandages to get better?

It is possible... I have done it before. You need some files through to smooth the edge that the ingrown nail was on or it will be back in a week or two.

no you cannot cut out an ingrown toenail. u have simply trimmed the nail back. give it a week and you will be in agony again

Couldnt hurt to let it heal and see what it looks/feels like in a week...
