Can smoking weed once during a cold cause you to cough up blood?

I don't smoke weed very often, I had a slight cold and was hanging out with my friend a couple days ago. She asked if I wanted some, I said sure. I just smoked a little since I don't smoke much, two hits, but I did have some coughing fits. Well my cough got a little worse but my partner who got sick before me had a terrible cough so it didn't concern me much. This morning however when I coughed up some phlegm in the bathroom it had a glob of blood in it. I'm thinking my throat is just irritated from the combo of being sick and smoking, but I do plan on going to the Dr if it happens again. Is this a common thing or should I be more concerned? Thanks.

Common, but keep an eye on it.

I don't think it was because of smoking. Could just be blood from coughing a lot, could have made your throat bleed a little, or if you had a little bit of a nose bleed and sucked up the blood without even knowing it was there. But you should watch it anyway, and if it happens again you should see a doctor. But it's probably nothing serious. It has happened to me where I coughed blood but it didn't happen again so I don't think it was anything bad.

I used to smoke squares but not anymore. One time my friends let me smoke weed and just one hit and I was coughing like hell. But I don't know if you can cough up blood.

Coughing up blood is typically concerning. Go to the doctor please.

Sometimes colds in the lungs will produce some blood. If this persists for more than 2 or 3 days and or there is a significant amount of blood go to the doctor asap.
