Jordan Peterson made a self authoring program where you answer questions that help you define your goals and vision for life. And one of the things he says in his question is, think about the consequences of not adhering to the vision you have set yourself. What would be the consequences of not doing your homework? Of not maintaining a healthy lifestyle? I don't like to visualize bad events so I just remind myself I have to do the stuff whether I like it or not. I don't think about why cause thinking about why will just make me feel worse by adding depression to boredom.
I really struggle with this too as someone in full time work and full time university.
I try to go to the gym in the morning before work (not always successful, sometimes it’s a struggle to wake up). I find that when I do go though it helps me feel better throughout the day and I have more time to relax in the evening. Also, tidying/cleaning as you go. If you’re making food, try to do the dishes while it’s cooking. It’s tough though!
Amen, and a little butt squeeze from your partner always helps

Why are people answering you about working out as in exercise when you clearly said housework? Anyway...
I was a single mom and worked full time. So, I hear what you're saying.
I don't know if this will help or not but here's what I did.
I woke up at 6 am to be at work by 8 am.
So, before I went to work I made our beds.
Oh, when I got home from work I made myself a cup of coffee first thing to be able to do my 2nd job, my son and his homework.
I did all my grocery shopping for the whole week on Friday night or Saturday. I had a hamper and all dirty clothes went in the hamper until I washed them on Sunday. No clothes on the floor!
I came home, drank my coffee and cooked dinner while my son took a shower and got ready for bed.
Saved vacuuming and dusting, cleaning the bathroom etc until Saturday morning. That's why I did my grocery shopping Friday night.
Sorry but I need to stop.
Each time you do a "something", write it down on an "accomplishments" list. Wash the dishes? Write it down. Washed the dog? Write it down. Put away the groceries? Write it down. Yes, it will add a few seconds to the "work" each day, but by the end of that day, you may be surprised at what ALL you have accomplished. I still revert to this when I get that "just spinning my wheels" feeling.
Also, start the day with an outdoor walk. After about 20 minutes, those "good hormones" (endorphins) start to flow throughout your body, provide a good feeling to continue with your day. And at the end of the day, Italians (for example) have long taken walks through their vineyards after dinner- calms the body, releases endorphins, relaxes them for a calm evening and restful sleep.
I don't have to motivate myself to jump into running shoes and do my almost 7km long favorite route. I simply do the sports I love... so doing it isn't any sacrifice for me, just a pure pleasure
and housework I just do, without thinking too much... it's stupid, repetitive, menial stuff, that is important and must be done... so I do it and then forget about it until the next time :D
For me it’s a lot easier than most.
I work from home and my gym set up is in the basement. I don’t have to venture too far out. Plus I do the cleaning on the house and my partner does the cooking. My motivation is going outside if I’m not going to the airport. Especially to places where there will be many people like Costco or the mall.
It’s finding something I’ll enjoy about the experience. So if it’s going to a place like Costco, I just remind myself there is those stupid chocolate covered strawberries I like waiting on me and they’re usually on sale.
this gonna be useless but
i kinda just do it and don't think about it bc im just so used to being severely tired. like i just do and don't think about it too long or i don't wanna do it lol
like jump up and do it before your brain convinces you to not
I have to work out before work. I don’t have the energy after. The chores i do must be done and nobody else is coming to my rescue, so i do them, energy or no. I’ve woken in a panic because i forgot to move laundry from the washer to the dryer before bed eleventy bazillion times. Ell oh ell!
I start my day early and fit it in then while I am well rested. That way, I don't get home and try and avoid it towards the end of the day, which is much easier.
I'm quite lucky with my setup.. I can work, exercise or do stuff around the house as and when I want. I work for myself from home and have a home gym. I love working out too.
Work out in the morning before work, so you don't have excuses and aren't tired from work yet.
Homework is a discipline skill issue, can't help
Typically when I get home from work I prep dinner, set it to cook and have about 45min to do whatever needs doing. If I stick to that, everything stays tidy and organized.
I used to work out before work, then I started working at 0600 so I have time afterwards. I could go either way though to be honest.
I set a timer to see how long it takes me to get the robots started at completing tasks that we used to do by hand.
Good food intake and water intake. Good eating. Good sleeping. And personal morale motivation has to come from within internally or from rewards or treats or from coffee or soda lol 😁😆 and water
Just like anything else in life- you envision yourself succeeding in the task, make a plan, and commit to it.
I clean my toilets, and then I look sat that clean toilet, and I sit down or kneel in front of one of my clean toilets and masturbate until I ejaculate into the toilet bowl. 👍🙂
Go on a Daily Vitamin!!! Helps Jump start my Day for Years. xxoo
That is why I workout in the morning. The gym is not crowded and I still have a lot of energy.
Try going before work when you have more energy
Try doing exercise first thing in the morning , that kick starts your day
Weekly list to keep me on track. Laundry n dishwasher runs every evening. Outdoor work is weekends. Make a schedule.
I feel sorry for you, why do you have to do everything by yourself? are you a student who is being boarded?
Tell myself "you're an adult. Suck it up and do it!"
