Why are my hips and butt getting bigger?

Lately my family has been telling me my hips and butt are getting bigger. They have also made suggestions why this is happening.. Some of they have been hint at I'm having sex which is a lie because I'm a virgin and some are saying I'm probably gaining weight and this can't be it because I have been excising and dieting... Could it possibly have something to do with my age? I'm 16 by the way and about to turn 17 (turn up!!😎😁) or is it something else?

You're a growing woman. Your body is going to continue to change for the rest of your life. Your hips don't magically grow from having sex lmao so I don't know where that came from. One day my brother pointed out that I had hips all of a sudden. I was so offended and thought he meant fat. He told me to chill out lol he said it just happens and guys like it anyway. Guys love curves so big hips and butt is okay.

its just puberty, girls hips usually aren't their biggest til you starting getting to college especially, women in some races get their adult hips as early as 16. and your butt getting bigger and just gaining a bit of weight in general is called baby fat. Enjoy it while it lasts

Sounds like puberty preparing you for adulthood. I have heard that pregnancy can widen a woman's hips but not just the act of having sex. That makes no sense

This is what happens at this age. Your body starts to develop. It doesn't necessarily mean that you are having sex. Every few years you will see changes in your body as you get older.
