How can I tell if he likes me or not?

The signs are all there. But he gives off weird signs. He always flirt in front of me. He never flirts with me. And whenever we're by ourselves he always seems quieter. He can't seem to keep eye contact with me for more than a couple of seconds when we're alone but when he's flirting with other girls or something like that he always glances at me for way more than necessary, until I look away. He always smiles around me and he always teases me, lightly.

But I'm not that good friends with him and he treats me differently than other girls. It also seems like he's always talking to me when we're in a group. But the thing is I don't talk a lot. I'm not the type of girl who can talk freely with everyone. I am more shy and quiet. I'm average looking. I'm not too smart. But I guess there are some qualities I have...

I don't really talk to him either. I only talked to him for like a month, after health class and during math class. Sometimes I talk to him in between classes and during English class.

I think he may like you. will have to wait a little while longer to be sure about it but from your description, its obvious he does. That's what my boyfriend did before we got together and now we are happier than ever. He doesn't talk that much when you are alone because he is probably afraid that he will say something stupid or maybe he wants to say something but is afraid you don't feel that way and decides to not say anything. You should stick around him and try talking about something that might interest him in some way. If you like him, try to show it subtly, but let it gradually grow over time and then either wait for him to ask you out since you are shy or try asking him out yourself. Hope this helps!

From that description I would make the assumption that he likes you. Observe him with other girls. If he acts different with you, then chances are he may be interested. He seems shy. There are two types of guys when liking a girl: Some are very straight forward and give all of their attention to the girl, but the other's get nervous and seem comfortable with any girl, but are almost awkward with the girl they like.
