I think they're bullshit. Anyone can tell you to kick someone in the balls and run away, or buy pepper spray. Why would you pay someone to tell you that?

It is a good idea, but it must be implemented correctly. Women are at a natural physical disadvantage against Male attackers, and so useful and muscle memory building classes can be very beneficial.

If it helps a woman gain confidence to defend herself, then I'm all for it. Granted, it really doesn't take a genius to take down a man - even a big one. You have different ways to defend yourself.

Yeah, that sort of "self-defense" course is bullshit. However, I do believe everyone should know how to defend themselves, so actual self-defense courses are a good idea.

I used to do martial arts. The main lesson my sensei insisted we learn was if someone's attacking you, its best to run. Especially if they have a knife.
