What do you think about cardigans?

I don't know if I'd quite say ridiculous, but I just don't see anything figure flattering or cute about most of them. I've seen ones with self belts that look cute if their belted at the waist, but I LOVE that look with ANY top or sweater, & somehow even girls that couldn't pull off tucking in or anything TOO fitted (IMHO) can pull off that belted look... xP

I own like a bazillion, but then again I have a strange obsession with knit wear. I like cardigans I personally think they look cute, I don't understand how they are any more ridiculous then a hoodie.
