What genres of television programing do you like to watch?

I've noticed that certain personality types enjoy certain genres of TV shows, such as dramas, game shows, sports, comedies, reality, documentaries/learning shows, etc.

I watch reality and documentaries almost exclusively, and I've noticed that I am least compatible with people who are heavily into television dramas/soap operas. They usually have no sense of humor and are lazy (from my experiences).

What genres of programming are you into? ...And if you've also noticed that certain personality types fit certain genres then feel free to expound on that as well.

I like to watch House - which is no idea which genre exactly but it has comedy, tragedy and misery but that is a show which also teaches you about many different kinds of diseases and sicknesses!

I love to watch Human Body: Pushing the Limit, How the Earth was Made, How the Universe Works, Meteorite Men and these all fall under the Science Channel which is a learning channel!

I also love to watch the History and the Discovery Channel anything that teaches me something - I watch! Reality TV shows - like mtv has - if you want to know something - there is a saying small minded people discuss people and that honestly is the truth - this is all I see - I know people who love to watch the jersey shore and they don't even know how to spell Mississippi - what can you say about that? So honestly yes people who do watch soaps and reality shows - no offense are really ridiculous!

Reality shows also includes shows like "The First 48," "Operation Repo," "Pawn Stars," "Storage Wars" ...etc. It doesn't just mean MTV -- although I do watch Jersey Shore, lol

hahahaha...oh yea those shows, very true - oh come on the jersey show although I do have a friend who actually knows them and has been in the last couple of episodes with them - but still and the situation is a complete douche bag and excuse the language but how do you just stand there and not to do anything when a girl gets punched or call her fat - seriously come on

I really like romance, comedy, suspense, thriller, drama.

No game shows, sports, or realities.

I never noticed this before. What kind of personality fits what I like and who would I be most and least compatible with?

I always notice things like that, but I think I noticed it quicker because me, my brother and my sister all have different personalities and watch totally different genres of TV shows.

I like to watch all kinds but what I watch the most would have to be crime solving like ncis law and order Bones I really like shows that make you think. I like to watch paranormal shows as well but I don't usally watch TV if the TV is on its because I have cmt or gac on and watching music videos all day while I'm cleaning the house.

I like comedies the best. I also watch a couple of dramas. I hate reality tv. Though I do like travel shows and discovery channel stuff (I'm guessing that falls under learning/documentary).

but I also LOVE FBI shows (especially Criminal Minds and Dexter ^-^ )

Oh, I forgot about the cartoons. I've definitely noticed that there is a certain personality type that likes cartoons, especially anime/manga/hentai/whateverthef***itscalled. Those guys are usually cool with me, even though I never watch cartoons.

I've never liked anime, it was always really cheesy to me. I've found myself getting up on Saturday or Sunday mornings and seeing some old fashioned Tom and Jerry or stuff like that, and watch to reminisce while I do some homework.

Then there's cartoons like Family Guy, but those are more comedy than anything.
