I do not see why it is funny to name food after someone who has lots of sex.. its disgusting. I hear the name & I be think of vaginal fluid & semen , a women with black rotten teeth sucking on some tiny hairy cock, from a big hairy fat bald guy with sewage breath, in seedy rooms with broken lights, sweat stained shirts, sh*t stained boxers, p*ss stained sheets , permeated with b.o. from like 500 guys, , chipping paint , a burglary going on in the next room, someone getting raped down the hall...Rolls & rolls & rolls rolls & rolls & rolls & rills & rolls & rolls of hot putrid foul smelling fat dripping off a woman, a man, & greasy grill.. so freaking disgusting.. unappetizing.
I'm just glad I'm a vegetarian.

Well from a marketing student's point of view, that kind of fast-food is not likely to have any large people as customers, nor people who feel strongly for the community or live a conservative lifestyle.
It's like putting a sign above a urinal that says [Under 5 inches].They didn't mentally target them, they ruled them out.And honestly not many people taste that kind of joke.
'Ho' itself means nothing, but it's slang for 'whore' so I think it's a bit too much.I'm pretty sure that kind of name will affect the company more than the community though.I'd be surprised if that turns out to be successful hah.
why, there is a place called "fat boys" where I live...who cares, its not like they are saying YOU ARE FAT IF YOU COME IN HERE...people are redic and will do anything to complain...its a freakin name and if the food is good then go there, if it isn't, well no ones calling you a ho or telling you to go there...people in the world now adays are so wack - go cry over something else - like the government and how its not "for the people by the people" ...i'd much rather see someone complain about that, rather than a burger joint...wow
Somehow, I don't imagine that the Sisterhood of Overweight/Husky/Big-Boned Hookers of America is going to organize a protest against it anytime soon. I don't see why anyone else would have a problem with it. Not being a fat ho, it doesn't bother me in the least. However, some people feel the need to be morally outraged by something, so in lieu of anything worthwhile, they go after a burger joint.
Now for the important question; how's the food there?

I saw an article about that. I think it's a little tasteless, but not offensive. And it appeals to my immature sense of humor. ;D
I think they could have done so much more with that name, though - like, they could advertise their "ho-made burgers". Hahaha.I think they purposely named it that to give the place attention and it's working. It's an excellent low cost marketing strategy. There's nothing anyone can do to change it and people are going to go to it to be "cool."
Do I personally find it offensive? No.I find it an awesome name, a great marketting idea is genious. I mean it is so genious that I am here in Canada and I already know there is a burger called fat ho burger down there in Waco, Texas. Plus its really funny, I don't see how it is ofensive, unless you are a fat ho?
That is hilarious, and brilliant! In business it is essential to make yourselves stand out to get customers and to have a funny name like that they are almost promised a reaction for the public---its not called "shock VALUE" for nothing...the more shocking something is the more interested people are--the more they talk about it--the more they want to come and see...the more business that company will get...brilliant...seriously...look what happened for Hooters...
I think it's fine haha. But I think that's our generation. We're really desensitized and we don't get shocked by a lot of things. I think the "Fat" part of it might deter people from eating there though because it'll remind them about how bad for you the food is haha.
I think it't funny, and I would eat there.
However, if you look at it from a marketing perspective, people are going to do one of two things. 1) eat there because the name is controversial or 2) NOT eat tehre because the name is offensive.
It could turn out great, but it could really p*ss the wrong people off and get itself shut down.I think so, mainly because I don't even think its funny and little kids are going to find it humorous and start repeating it and yeah, not cool. But pretty much I guess if you're offended, don't eat there, as well as other people who are offended. By not contributing financially, you strip them of their power.
LMAO I don't think it's offensive, I'd eat there if I was in the area. I bet the food is bomb because a lot of fat people can get down in the kitchen. besides it doesn't mean you're a fat ho if you eat there, it's just a catchy name that gets your attention.
I think it's reasonable that it's offensive, but come on, it's hilarious! I don't see how anyone could not look at that name and say, "Okay, that's pretty good." xD
Now that I think more about it...I might open a business myself..."The Fuzzy Peach" or "Pop This Cherry Pie SHop" ...maybe "Camel Toy Gym" lol! Go to San Francisco and open a hot dog stand called "Magnum Weiners!" LOL!
LOL, we were just talking about Fat Ho Burgers in class yesterday(I'm from Tx). I hear they are good, but nah, just a name to play around, but I'm from Tx so I can see where they are coming from.
I didn't know it was in Waco thoughLMAO somehow I don't see that business lasting very long...
but I mean I think it all depends on if the food is good. if it's good food, then they can call themselves anything they want. but Fat Ho is not exactly an appetizing moniker lolHumorous and yet true - the reason for America (and especially Texas) being the most obese place in the world is by far fast food s.a. burger joints, McD etc.
i find it funny, but there are tons of sensitive politically correct people out there who'll get mad about it.
I think it's a classless name and a bad marketing ide.a It makes me think they're dirty and I really don't want to eat them. But everyone is entitled to harm their business the way they way.
lol that's funny but I wouldn't eat there because...well...I'd feel fat XD. But then it's a good thing isn't it? Not for the burger joint but for the customers XD
If no one gives a hoot about a chinese restaurant called "Fu King Chinese Restaurant", then why should people care about "Fat Ho Burgers?"
No, anyone who gets offended needs to grow the f*** up. Getting sick of political correct carebear bullsh*t. F***ing soccer moms.
I find it funny, and I'd love to eat a fat ho... burger. lmao ew.
But yeah I could see why it's causing an uproar.Hahaha I find that extremely funny and I wish the UK had great names like that lol
