Are zits and major turnoff?

so...I believe I look good, I have curly/wavey blond hair (almost a golden color), fair skin, dark green eyes that look blue in pictures, and I'm about average size (size 5 in pants)..BUT my problem is that I have acne prone skin, so my fore head looks kindof like a pizza and I have a few zits on my chest and back...would that be a turnoff?

My acne never makes me feel beautiful and it seems like everyone at high school doesn't have any zits or barely any...

I used to have the same huge problem with bacne. Eeeewwww. But now it is totally under control and the scars are gone because I went to an awesome laser dermatologist. Sounds weir but it's his specialty. So what he did was give me some tetracycline pills, two different creams to put on my zits, and weekly laser treatments. The pills made me really sensitive to the sun but killed the stuff from the inside. The laser is what worked the best though. Basically they have this huge machine that's really loud while charging up. While it charges they have you lay down on this table and do extractions wherever the zits are. Basically if there's a zit forming and they see it, they prick the skin with a little sharp thing, then use a small tool with a dome on the end to press out the grossness inside, pus or whatever it is. This is great and stops he issue before it even starts. Then they put these orange glasses on you and put some cloth over the glasses to really shield your eyes. I used my shirt because I had to take it off for my bacne treatment. They blow cool ait from this thin, airbrush looking tool and the laser at the same time because you are really sensitive to it at first. If they do it without the cool air it feels like it's burning but with the cold air it's just a pins and needles feeling as the machine makes a ticka ticka noise. Just my experience solving my skins issues, hope this helps!

Since I'm a girl, I'm going to give you skincare advice instead of dating advice, if that's OK. I used to have severe acne, and by that I mean it covered more than 75% of my face. It was nasty. This is the only stuff that has ever worked for me: link The collection is expensive, but I swear it's magic in a bottle. Plus, each bottle will last you about 2 years if you use the correct amount.

Holy smokes, I cannot second this comment about REN products enough. I will say that REN does not work for my acne - I have prescriptions for that - but even so, I would still recommend REN as an everyday face wash. I don't know what's in it, but it's AMAZING. It makes my skin glow and feel so smooth.

dude. you just described my situation. like exactly. lol. your description about yourself sounds like me too. lol.

but anyways, I always thought that I would be pretty if I didn't have acne. I feel like I look good, but my acne makes me so self conscious, I just wish it was gone! and it does seem like there's pretty much is nobody else with acne like mine at school. I mean I see people who have like ONE or two pimples every now and then, but its not the same. and the back and chest acne is the worst because I can't cover it up with makeup. so I have to plan what shirts I wear around my breakouts to help hide it. but if I were to guess, there are plenty of other people who do that at school too. we just don't notice because they're covering it up just like I do.

this doesn't really answer your question, but I just wanted to remind you that you're not alone in this situation. :P

thank you...I never knew there was any one that was in my shoes aswell. I guess it's nice to know that there are others that feel just as self conscious as I do...if you ever find anything that works to get rid of acne...please tell me:) thanks:)

Personally, When I look at a person, even if they have god awful acne, I can see if they are attractive or not underneath it. And there are so many people in high school with acne that I don't even really see it. I kinda see through it. Its like the train at my house. I don't hear it but people who visit do. Am I making sense? Idk... but I don't think acne is a big deal, or a turnoff.

oh shush, you're adorable. I don't see any scars. I'm talking about really bad ones that some people get because they attack their zits.

I, too, had really bad acne. I had naturally oily skin and hair. Now my skin and hair is awesome.
