I don't have it so I can't really say if it would be good or bad, although I imagine if someone see's something they really don't want to ever remember... that could be a problem.
I have a photographic memory with images and can draw them, i grasp art concepts quickly with little practice, but it comes at a cost, I have a hard time remembering anything verbal and I suck at math.
It sounds like a superpower to me, I don't have any visual memory at all, so photographic memory seems incredible! I can only imagine it being disadvantageous if you have a lot of trauma and can't help but relive it, though that is something you could overcome.
Having either such memory would be great advantage in academic studies, business meetings, and many other situations where a powerful recall would be most useful..
I don't think I have either, I just have a really good memory (like remembering stuff when I was 5 good... and that was 35+ years ago). It has its draw backs, but I'll take them.
I really cannot type. Anyway, it has been quite useful for school, and later on for clinical practice in that I can memorize large amounts of information with no real effort. Better?

Yes of course. Remembering everything can be bad especially if its about something you can never move on about.
Yeah I was wondering if emotions tied to memories haunt them more.
That would be a curse for me. I already have enough problems moving on.
Your looking at a guy like that. I have extremely good memory.

The disadvantage is you tend to bore/piss people off recounting the details of something they forgot.

I wish I had that because I would forget what I learn one studying or reading I could easily learn any language
My memory is terrible, but I’m sure my answer would be A if I did have extraordinary memory. (Because everyone has things they want to forget...)
Can't use " I forgot as a excuse " lol
lol. Oh no! That's terrible! Wow.
Lol I have a bad memory I wish I was better

Yes when your at a place you been before could trigger both good and bad memories.
If you remember everything and don't keep the mind tidy it hurts the head or becomes a bit crazy in older age from poor management
Seeing your parents having sex. You can't forget it and remember every detail exactly.

Its awful. I remember everything so I'm able to hold grudges for a VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY LONG TIME
Imagine the Non stop useless memories. I already remember useless conversations on here but remembering every comment ever made until death would suck
My parents had 400+ movies in their library and it was very easy for me to remember every single one.
It has been very useful for me.
You are full of surprises.
Yet you elaborate so seldom.

Thank you! 💋
My pleasure
I have control over it, but there are memories of things when seeing them I thought "God, no"
