I guess I would go along with this. I would like to see some oversight so that some crook doesn't steal a truckload of the stuff and take it to Canada to sell on the black market.

Agreed, however I think companies capitalize too much on things people constantly need. There’s no reason for women’s products to be $10 a pack. You can find the same brands at the dollar store for literally a dollar and they are still making profit off those sold at the dollar store.

The pads I have aren't the best but I'm sure you could get better quality ones. Cups take a while to get use to and get the hang out but once you do its just amazing not having to worry about it for 12 hours. And period underwear are perfect first first and last days for me, I find them really comfortable, kinda just feels like wearing a liner.

@kyleelyn199723 I agree with you, there! And the way Joe's driving inflation through the roof, one thing (among HUNDREDS of others) that he doesn't seem to understand is that, if you get people to pay more for something, now, the people making that stuff will KEEP IT at that price until the next inflation wave hits! But, still, if YOU were the one making tampons all day, every day would YOU want to do it for free?

@FunMonkee my point is even pricing them at a dollar at the dollar store, they aren’t doing it for free lol if they were not making profit off those stores, they wouldn’t have them in their store because your point of “why on earth would they want to do it for free” it’s simply billion dollar companies continuing to mooch and be greedy off of women that can barely afford their brands.

@Smashingdoozy I think most birth controls you can be choosy because I literally thought I lost my birth control pack only a week in for a few days and my period started. Tomorrow it will be gone because I took two of them tonight. But yeah birth control has sugar pills that you take for a week so you at least have a period because a long time ago they had birth control pills that would go for a month straight on and on and women were getting pregnancy scares since they weren’t getting their periods

They put the sugar pills in so the church would be happy with it. You don't have to take them, don't have to have a period. You can just start a new pack once you get to the sugar pills. I'll have one every like 2-3 months because that's when my body usually starts spotting anyway

@kyleelyn199723 I don't think it's gross. Besides, I'm more about function than fashion when it comes to such things. Whatever does the job is fine!
How about just putting one of those huge band-aids over it until the 5 days is done, then peel it off and let it ALL out at once!
Maybe a strip of duct tape with a pee hole.
      A vampire bat?
Maybe a Dutch boy that can stick his finger in it for 5 days?
How about a mouse? Well, they ARE soft and kinda shaped like tampons. On heavier days you can use a rat.
I'll see if I can think of SOMETHING.

My sister is supposed to be going through menoause right now but she's still getting her periods. She said she asked her Dr. why and he said that it's because she's still taking her pills and, if she'll stop taking them, her menopause will start up. The hormones in the pills are telling her body to keep having periods.

Some women don't know/don't care... We also have a trash problem... Sewage water doesn't go straight to the ocean... It goes through treatments where things like that are picked out and disposed of, perhaps you should take that up with the people disposing of them.

When women stop having endless female only protection, clubs, groups, housing, shelters, gyms, scholarships, funding, government programs, etc...
and women start paying equal amounts of tax (look it up), working the same hours, the same bullshit deadly jobs, and are equally “disposable” by society...

we will give you your tampons for free, but until then... your boyfriend or husband will have to pay for them for you.

Women would get taxed more if we got paid equally. Women would work more if we weren't expected to be the homemaker. Women wouldn't need women only shelters and other places if we started holding men accountable for their actions. Seems like you're trying to be the victim here.

Sure if for some odd reason every man in the world had a wet dream 5-10 days a month then they should absolutely be supplied with a means to deal with that. And you know if that was the case they would have it without asking.

No, I don't know that. That's silly and you have some weird, delusional perception of our society. People don't bend over backwards for men, quote frankly, if anything, it's the opposite. Men are left to fend for themselves while women are catered to. If a woman is crying on the side of the street, how many people are going to stop to help her? And how many would stop to help a man crying on the side of the street?

And shouldn't we just be having the government pay for toilet paper or tooth paste? Both men and women use those, right? If it's something that we need then it should be provided to us, right?

Obviously everything is paid for by someone, thanks for explaining the rather obvious.

However we have free sanitary products here in the UK, supermarkets are providing them for free, Scotland as a country provides them for free.

Free at the point of use / availability.

Bit like good medical services free at point of use.

I do feel like it’s especially hard for children and teens to have access to menstrual products that they very much need. Not all kids have parents who are willing or able to provide these supplies for them. Until 18 at least, that would be very helpful.
