I may not be the best one to ask about the timing of meals.
My wife and I have highly divergent schedules.
I will eat when I am hungry during the days that she works.
I have eaten breakfast at 7:00 am and I have eaten my "first meal" at 3:00 pm, today actually being one of those days since I spent the morning replacing a sump pump switch.
If you are asking if you should eat a "little something" to tide you over until lunchtime, I would say yes to that. We will do that frequently, but usually by eating- say an apple- from another meal as a snack (so the calorie count stays the same).
