What will happen if I ate a tapeworm?

This is a serious question, I’m uneducated on this topic. So I heard tapeworms can make you lose weight. If I ate a tapeworm would I instantly lose a lot of weight?

Tapeworm eats the nutrients from the food that your eating. Basically making it when you eat it's just the worm eating. This leads to more problems than just losing weight. Of course weight will be lost because you haven't actually ate anything yourself really.

Such other problems are when it dies to lay eggs which yes it will do after eating. Then there is more of them. While most will come out after one goes to the toilet this.. is not 100% then you have baby tape worms that stay inside. So now no longer is just one.
Then they look for room and more food if they cannot find such things they will start eating through your literal body instead. And moving to other parts. And if so unlucky one will reach your brain and needless to say what happens after that.

It is entirely possible to live with a tape worm in all honesty, such reports of people going years and years without realising. Since they can be highly subjective in what there actions are. Though that subjectivity can also lead to a quick or/and very painful death.
It's a parasite that you don't want in your body even if it may on chance not be lethal.

I remember years ago stumbling upon this strategy and thought to myself why would someone do this? Girl died from that weight loss strategy.(is how i found out about it)
If people chose to do this then excess weight is least of their problem and they actually just suffer from low IQ.

You personally will lose weight but your tapeworm will gain weight. Tapeworms have all kinds of problems. Best not waste time with trying this gimmick.

Eating a live tapeworm will kill the worm. You need the eggs which will then mature into an embryo will attach itself and progress to a full size worm, which will produce even eggs.

Undercooked fish or pork are your best bet for acquiring tapeworms. Enjoy.

It would take a long time for tapeworm to have any effect. It’s not a diet strategy for sure.
