Old and past their prime aren't the same thing.
I consider someone old once they are past retirement age (at least 62).
Past their prime is different for different people. Some lazy people are past their prime by their early 20s. Other people that stay healthy, exercise, don't drink alcohol or ever use any drugs will be in great condition into their 50s. And some other people may have been lazy early in life, but after 30 started getting into fitness and eating healthy and are actually better off in their 30s and 40s than they were in their 20s. (assuming they didn't damage themselves with drugs and alcohol).
So, someone's "prime" can vary quite a lot.
Same goes for women. Sure after 35 their chances of having healthy kids decreases greatly, but other than that, the rest of the stuff I mentioned above still applies to them as well. Things like exercising, eating healthy, never doing drugs or alcohol, etc. Some of them can be in their 40s and be in better condition than many in their 20s (except for the having healthy kids part).
And people being skinny is NOT the same as being in shape. If you are in shape from exercising, bring along a skinny friend that doesn't exercise on a day long hike or a long 20+ mile bike ride and you will see how out of shape many skinny people actually are.
I would say 40. By that point is when men need to start getting screened for more medical stuff and you T levels are much lower.

When I turned 30, I could still fuck like three times a day and keep going lol. 30, old. give me a break!

I also think it depends on what has happend to you in your life, not JUST the age. You know what they say, there's a HARD 30 and an easy 30. Same with being 40. I think it might be contextual. I would imagine someone that's been through something very traumatic like having their whole family murdered or something, or start the smoking and drugs at 13, I am sure will look VERY different at 30, than a person who didn't do those things? ! ! Also, stress levels. And fitness levels. Gotta keep those in check.
I think the older you get, the MORE you have to maintain health. At least that is what my maternal grandma (from the Philippines) said. The older you get, the more you feel age catching up to you ontop of other things unfortunately! So yeah, but I think it can also be genetics too. There are some people that just smoked all their lives but yet reached 90. It's ridiculous and unfair, haha.
I feel like men have more intense signs of aging sooner but people just pass it off as him looking "rugged". Men lose their hair, are more prone to weight gain around their gut, and have thicker skin which means deeper wrinkles sooner in life.
Personally, I don't think it can be defined by gender as everyone has different genetic and lifestyle factors that determine their metabolic age and how old they look.
I have what my grandma calls "the family curse" that makes me look 15 when I'm almost 27. It's an absolute nightmare right now but later in life, the women in my family do tend to "age well". Which I'm sure will be nice but right now it means I get treated like a child and HIT ON by actual middle school kids which is humiliating and gross. Then on dating apps most of what I get is guys and girls who are 18-22 which I do not want and old creepy men who would date an actual middle schooler if they could but they can't so they want to settle for me. *gag*
Meanwhile, I had a former coworker who was born the same year and month as me and people at work always used to joke that we could pass as father and daughter because he was losing his hair, never wears sunscreen, and he was a bartender so he drank A LOT. Well, now he's a realtor so it actually works in his favor to look older because nobody really wants to buy a house from a 20-something.
There are so many factors that play into how old you look and I think everyone's "prime" is different.

It's well known? I don't know anyone who thinks that, and I didn't know anyone who thought that when I was your age. When I was 20 I might have known people who thought that, but not many.
Anyway, I consider myself to past my prime. I'm not really sure when that happened though. Physically and athletically I hit my peak about 35. It would have been later than that if I didn't have injuries that made me stop. For everything else it happened slowly over time.
As men are entirely valued for our earnings potential, age is entirely subjective to that. In that vain, extremely old men who literally can’t work are still attractive to vital, young women because of previously accumulated wealth. This is entirely despite a man’s willingness or ability to maintain an erection for her pleasure. It is ALWAYS about the money for women.
Depends how hot they were to start with and how well they maintain themselves. For the average dude i think mid 30's you hit the wall. If you're hot and look after yourself mid 40s

I never started feeling old till the past couple years.
Honestly after the accident I had last year I've been fighting to get back to where I was. I'm not 100% yet. But there's always that fear that "well maybe I'm just old now and now the decline begins. Maybe i can't get back to 100%" lol

I used to think it was 40 but I am 51 and just starting to feel myself slowing down.
I guess there is a reason you do not see many pro athletes who are older than 40 and none that are over 50.

In my opinion man's prime is between the ages of 26 and 40. All my crushes since forever have been in that age area. Becoming old has more to do with attitude and lifestyle than an actual number.
At the same ages as women, only that old women are much less desirable than old men. It's the men get old, women get replaced trope, men value looks and fertility of women above all.
From what I have seen, Men, age well for the vast majority, across all races/cultures. however, there are some who live healthy lives more than others and it shows in their body and mind. For example, if they regularly exercise and eat healthily they could still be in their prime up to even the age of 50 to 60. However if they do not live a healthy life, they could literally hit the wall by the time they get to their 30s.
60, men are lucky because women just love older guys or guys who are older than they are so 60 is a man's prime.
Old-45+, past their prime-25-30+. I consider those things to be different. Old is like the body slowing down. Past their prime is a person losing attractiveness.

50 as a rule of thumb but of course it depends to the guy lol...
It varies. I see guys in their 50's and 60's running every morning when I am out and I see guys younger than I am who look like gunny sacks filled with rocks.

For men, probably 60-65. About twice the shelf life of women.
40 years old for the average guy, if you’re exceptionally rich, then like 60.
