Home workout or gym?

I have something similar to this at home with a bench all the bars and stuff...10 years of lifting at home so it's worth about the $2000.00
On top of that I've never had to deal with waiting for some equipment, having to put someone else's weights away, wipe another person's sweat off things, people trying to talk to me, or being told I'm not allowed to deadlift or grunt too loud.
At home it is for me. I started it because I was stuck at home with 2 young kids and I couldn't go anywhere... No hours restrictions, only so many times a week restrictions, and so on so, I think it's paid itself off.
I prefer home. I like having my own equipment and being able to use it whenever I want. Plus I have my drinks that I like at home, nobody else's sweat is on my stuff, and once I buy it once I own it forever. I still have the weight bench that my parents bought for me when I was in high school. I bought more stuff myself over time like more weights, a curl bar, two sets of dumbbells, hand grips, a stationary bike, etc. but all of it is still in great condition. It really never wears out.
Plus I know that if I had to get ready and travel to a gym I would almost never work out in that case.
I prefer at home or actually outside in the fresh air. There are benefits to gyms (convenience if in your workplace, if your single, competitive atmosphere), but they’re not for me.
Home since you're right it's free and you can wear what you want. You also aren't going anywhere which is good since there's COVID-19.

Depends on what you need. I have some tears (rotator cuff) which need either surgery (expensive and a long recovery) or specific exercises (which I have done and they worked well, but I have not been able to exercise recently and need to get back in it).
The exercises need various pieces of equipment or a device like @d_bone_steak has displayed. So costly gym, or expensive home equipment.
If you are doing common exercises you probably can do them at home with very little equipment.
I found a video of this girl with the exact same cage I have. It was worth the buy.

I prefer the gym if possible because of all the workout equipment and it really helps set the atmosphere and the mood for working out and training hard.
But, working out at home is nice too with the time and money can can be saved.
I’ve been working out at home ever since I got COVID-19. 😅 I don’t have all the equipment that I would like, but I’m making due with calisthenics and a simple set of dumbbells. 💪
It depends on what you're trying to work out really. $10 a month isn't bad after all, especially if you have a job. You would need to have the proper workout equipment if you wanted to work out a specific muscle. Dumbbells' and crunches aren't going to do much.
Third option: Go on walks, and walk the staircase up to the 26th floor (where my apartment is) and back down again. That's like a home workout, but better and also free.
I like to save money as much as the next person, but i’m usually more disciplined at a gym. Plus they have equipment and facilities i don’t have at home.
I prefer at home.
The gym at work is garbage.
Thankfully the apartment buildings around here have gyms though.
Same here. Going to the gym is expensive. I don't want to pay for a membership and I don't like exercising in front of people anyway.
Home. Never been to a gym. Lost weight and gained muscle by home equipment and online workouts
I could never justify paying money to exercise. I do whatever exercise is appropriate at home... or just walking around the neighborhood.
I prefer gym. That shape looks like home workout...
I gat some pretty good workouts at home during the pandemic. I had a Total Gym. But once I got back tp the gym I like it bettter.

Back porch workout 12 ounce curls #Repin
I prefer the gym personally because it has the weights and equipment I need.
Home workout mostly. Barre is different though.
I try to workout at home when I can’t go to the gym. But most of the time, I couldn’t keep up with it🥲😂
I tried the home workout but I find I'm more motivated if I go to the gym. So I sacrifice another expense so I can go there.
Holy Cow girl! You are skin and bones. You need to eat a little more!
The gym I pay for is only $15 plus tax a month. I prefer being outside though
Always home workouts for me… but real work instead of workouts.
