BMI is just a digit for you to simply check but not accurate. Muscle and fat weight different and they form your body differently.
24-25 so what, even by that you are just a little over, not even saying if you build up muscles. Don’t feel anything, wear whatever you like. If there’s anything you feel embarrassed, the summer still long enough for you to work out.

You should practice loving yourself at any size and not needing outside reassurance or validity. It’s the dead of summer and hot asf. If you want to wear shorts, then have the confidence to wear them. If 20 people comment and say it’s not embarrassing, you will still talk yourself out of wearing shorts, tank tops, or whatever other clothing you deem acceptable on a skinnier frame but not on your own. Build yourself up rather than tear yourself down.
