How's your pain tolerance?

I'd say mine is turbulent as I'm capable of continuing on through most pain but if I experience a certain type of pain in specific areas like the pelvic region or my eyes, it effectively shuts me down.

When I had testicular torsion, it was the worst pain I've ever felt in my life and the first time I've ever been totally incapacitated by pain and I could barely gather the strength to stumble and cuss my way to the emergency room bed.

When I get cuts, my threshold is rather high as I often dismiss the pain as simply a cramp or scrape, realizing it's a cut later on. Soreness and stuff is an accepted part of my life that due to my chronic condition, there will always be pain there and knowing it won't go away, I don't allow it to stop me from performing any actions.

Today when I was taking small steps towards pepper spray exposure (I need to do this for the academy) and ended up inadvertently exposing my right eye to POM OC spray, I was unable to open my right eye for more than a second because the spray would move around as I opened it.

Although I would say I took it pretty well as the pain was so much worse than I thought yet I maintained control of my language and didn't bang anything as well as kept in mind that there's a reason I'm doing this.

I need more work as in the academy, both eyes will be sprayed and I'll have to open them for more than just a second.
