I don't know how I would have coped without online support forums like reddit's covidlonghaulers and bodypolitic on slack. They were more helpful than the doctors I saw in 2020 and 2021.

Asker+1 yAre the symptoms of GERD, Chest compression, ache in the heart and bloating go away now?
- +1 y
The GERD, chest compression, heartache, and bloating have resolved. As many studies have shown, C19 infection causes gut dysbiosis and problems. Meaning it causes an imbalance of gut microbes, leading to gut pathogens or conditions like h. pylori, candida, SIBO, IBS, bloating, etc. to flourish that trigger health issues.
I was tested for h. pylori infection and received treatment for it. It marked the beginning of my recovery in August 2021. I have since been taking digestive enzymes and other gut healing protocols like probiotics, detoxing, and anti-candida.

First it was super bad fatagie so weak that for 90 days I did not get out of bed, next eas half of my right brain hurt, then lungs went off to heart pappalestion then it went to high risk Asthma where 3 times in 6 weeks I ran to ER get steroids and breathing treatment. Also 2 times out in stores I get brain fog then vision went all white. I was a few seconds from death the first time I said to the counters I going to hospital I had to take a few steps to start breathing Again then another store the same things happen a some man ask me are you ok? He brought me out before death. Then my right lung quit working and the inside sac feel forward I took a deep breath and it went back to normal.
Now is spinal cord spams. omg I get up from sleep and it feels like I been wioped all night.
Here how I been making it so far. Over the counter meds Dayquil, experacants, nerve pills, food, Tyneol and stuff like that. I not sure on the last one if I can beat it with over counter meds. But really what I did to live this out is take meds for symptoms. Headache Tyneol,. Heart gas pills for chest pain, feel like hell Dayquil. All the over counter meds I gave me my life back. But I not through all of it yet. It seems like it keeps on going and it keeps getting much worse11 Reply
Asker+1 yEat healthy and maintain a healthy lifestyle. It should help you recover soon
+1 yI caught Omicron about a month ago. Was off work for a week, but fortunately after 4 days bed rest and 1 day taking it easy, I was able to get back to work.
Brain fog was a bit present, but it was something I got through with timers and clear lists.
I'm still struggling with a phlegmy cough (it's slowly going away) and drastically reduced stamina. I'm at about 30-40% of my pre-COVID stamina, recovering slower than I hoped. But it's also wildfire season and we've had air quality warnings and heat waves, so it's hard to say if the smoke or COVID is making recovery slower.
I do get tired much quicker and stay tired for longer. It sucks.
I'm hoping working back up to my pre-COVID levels of activity and adding in some regular light cardio like walking will help me recover stronger.
Fortunately it doesn't seem like I have any long haul symptoms. I was 3x vaxxed and wore a mask 95% of the time, so I feel I did fairly good for being not very careful.
I do have a higher than average white blood cell count, and a strong immune system from before COVID even, so I think those helped. As did being physically active.
I'm worried for how this puts me at risk in future, though. I don't know. I feel like confluence in pandemics is the next "stage" of viral evolution. And with climate change thawing more ancient viruses, and current viruses developing resistances, I'm sure coming down with COVID isn't going to do me many favours when the next pandemic hits.20 Reply
I'm young and got COVID. It was so bad, there was one night I actually thought and probably could have died. I woke up standing in front of my refridgetor unable to breathe. I was hallucinating, hyperventialting, couldn't breathe, and had severe pain all over my body. I couldn't lift my limbs or turn over. Those symptoms lasted over a month. I couldn't even walk to the mailbox I felt like I would pass out. So yes, COVID is unlike any other virus... its not like the flu at all. I can't imagine how older people survive it if i almost legit died that night-

+1 ySounds like you're tracking the covid. I got the code in March of 2020. I take meds for pulmonary functions. It affected me more so while I slept. I also have a CPAP. I had the worst sinus headaches and I still have the headaches 2 years later. I was able to function like I normally do. I was able to log in to do work from the house during the day. Have my morning meetings with the rest of my crew that I worked alongside. I worked about 5 hours and I was wore out by one or two. I'd take a 2-hour nap and eat some dinner and go to bed approximately about 9:00 p. m. That went on for approximately 2 months. 2 years later I'm feeling pretty good my exercise routine has picked up more. Sometimes I still feel like I have covered. Luckily I haven't had any of the other variants of covid to this day. I talked with a friend that works in the pharmacy. He reminded me that when we get a virus or disease and that we overcome it our immunities take that virus or disease and place it in our bone marrow for storage for later use. I hope this was not TMI.
10 ReplyCovid really wasn’t a big deal for me. Slight chills morning of hot shower cleared that up slept the first day away and then afterwards it was just a cold if that. I felt fine. So I had a very mild case. Post Covid though my taste and sense of smell was fucked for a couple months. Completely back to normal now

Very mild symptoms. Pretty much everyone in the UK has been vaccinated at least twice and it reduces the virus to mild, flu like symptoms - slight headache, sore throat for a day or two, maybe aching limbs, maybe not. No big deal if you've had the jabs
11 Reply2.7K opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic. Lol a covid survivor? I wouldn’t call myself that.
I did have covid but it wasn’t life threatening. I’ve had colds that were worse. It was less being sick and more of vacation from work.
The worst of it was just being tired and tiring easily. That along with needing to drink a lot of water.

+1 yI've had it 3 times. The only thing I notice more is is chest pain. But I also have an autoimmune disease so it could be related to that as well.

Asker+1 yHow was your chest pain related? Is it related to GERD? Or Costochondritis? Or Dysphagia? Or Esophagitis?
- +1 y
It's chest pain lol. I also have RA and am used to chest pain, just not as frequent.
Asker+1 yDo you have RA before Covid?
- +1 y
Yes.
Asker+1 y@CarolineW Did you had it?

+1 ynone at all. if i wasn't oficially PCR tested by my doctor, i wouldn't even have known that i had it. for me it was like the common cold. bit of headache, bit of fever, cough and snot but i was completely symptom free after a week. i didn't even take "covid" specific medication. i only took something for the headache.

plus i was and still am unvaccinated. so for me, my immunity was completely natural.
+1 yNever had it. My coworker I talk to daily had it as did the other two he talks to. Informed me he had it and I took a test, negative. Only one fat guy at work was hospitalized but he’s fine now.
It’s ironic because my coworker is one of the biggest germaphobes you’d meet, always wore mask, scrubbed hands constantly. He gets it.
10 ReplyWould not know if I've had Covid or not, but I've had more than a couple of 'Colds' over the length of the pandemic so I would not be surprised if I caught it. What 'Colds' I had I tret them as I normally Ibuprofen for the aches and pains and stayed hydrated.

Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yAfter I got rid of COVID I was left with better breathing, more energy, more strength and increased health overall. But this is because I treated it with hours of nebulization with food grade 3% hydrogen peroxide and sterile saline, high dose vitamin C powder and moderate exercise to open up the lungs. I also avoided the 'vaccine' and pretty much all of the advice given by Government and Doctors because they don't have my best interests in mind.
10 Reply560 opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic. I've had it twice, and it wasn't a big deal, pretty much like having a cold.
We had 10 of us out with it in January.
One of or firefighter's has had it 6 times.
He's young and dumb.
I do the community covid testing, and I'm vaxed and boosted.
Our covid calls are running about 50/50 with those that are unvaxed vs vaxed/vaxed and boosted.00 Reply- 466 opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic.

+1 yMy neighbor's whole family survived it. They cured it with Robitussin CF and Tylenol! He says that, to this day, 2 years later (as of next month), he still can't taste food. He says his taste IS coming back but very slowly!!

Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yHard to say since I was dealing with other health issues at the time as well. But I had an unusually rapid heartbeat and I was perpetually fatigued and had poor balance. I've since changed my diet and lost about 50 lbs. So I don't know if it was long covid. Or that my overall health wasn't very good.
