Why do I pee a lot at night?

even though I don't have a lot of liquids before it. It's so annoying to have to keep getting up! Any tips?

If it's worrying you then you should try what I do and drink nothing for two hours before bed, and also cut out anything with caffeine for a lot longer than that. And one thing I avoid completely is alcohol.

There's a hormone which is supposed to reduce urine production at night, and I know that I don't produce enough of it and so my bladder fills up too quickly. Even with limiting my fluid intake before bed I always have to wee during the night.

If having to get up during the night is really affecting your quality of sleep then you should see a doctor about it. They might consider prescribing a drug which slows down urine production. I use it occasionally and it usually means that I can make it through the whole night without needing to go.

If you're not drinking a lot in the hours before you go to sleep, it may be a matter of WHAT you're drinking (or eating, for that matter). Take note, and try cutting out carbonated or caffeinated stuff for a few days; see if that helps.
