I'm afraid I'd get dependent, addicted on medication soon. That's just how they work. Fixing sleep issues with medicines looks like using deodorant instead of taking a shower. It's better to fix the original issue in the first place.

Thats what I think too. Although it can be hard to fix an issue when you can't sleep well.

In my case, if I have bad times, then things eventually get back to normal. Just need to give it some time, adjust diet or perhaps talk about things that stress me.

Pills are always the last thing on my mind. I'd rather have nightmares that i can reflect on after i wake and tell people about.

Sure it isn't pleasant, but it's part of life. I can't speak for people with post traumatic disorders with nightmares, because they might be having it way worst so pills might be the way out
