Best would be to do some physiotherapy under the guidance of a specialist.
But you can also do some balancing exercises using a balancing board which helps you strengthen the smaller muscles in your lower back.
Another good exercise is to walk barefoot over uneven surfaces. That also helps your back and in addition helps your balance and activates the blood circulation.
I was told by my previous physiotherapist that it had something to do with weak hip tensor/flexor muscles. Which I did have. I cannot afford physiotherapy now though.
Its pretty annoying, this lower back pain. I do still have the resistance band my physiotherapist gave me. For some reason, cycling kind of helps, I have no idea why. The back pain hits worst after I go running.
Have you ever given a thought to check whether both of your legs have the same length?
This could lead to stress on your hips that need to compensate for the bad posture and stress your muscles?
Pretty sure my doc did that for me when I reported sick for back pain as a recruit. And I had this problem whenever I would sit cross-legged on the ground for too long, so I doubt its leg length
it could depend on what kind of damage you're recovering from but... swimming could help with some lower back pain
best to consult with the professionals though...
Go see a physical therapist for detailed instruction both in form and function.
