It sounds like you are taking positive steps to manage your anxiety and depression by seeking therapy, engaging in regular exercise, eating a healthy diet, and practicing relaxation techniques. However, despite these efforts, you are still experiencing symptoms of depression and anxiety.
It's important to remember that managing mental health conditions such as depression and anxiety can be a complex and ongoing process. It may take time to find the right combination of treatment approaches that works best for you.
If you're still struggling with depression and anxiety despite your efforts, it may be helpful to speak with a mental health professional who can provide guidance and support. They may recommend additional therapies, such as medication, cognitive-behavioral therapy, or other approaches to help manage your symptoms.
Remember, seeking help for mental health concerns is a sign of strength, and with the right support and resources, it's possible to manage your symptoms and improve your overall well-being.
Act as if a friend came to you in the same situation and if you were to give them advice or your opinion. Really try to breakdown certain habits you have, causes, and it's effects. For you, it could be a plethora of things in your life that are bad and a factor causing it:
- Mindset (How you see life and expectations you've built in your head for how your life should go or what will happen)
- Habits/Coping Methods (EX: punching things out of frustration can be addictive and actually can cause impulsiveness instead of helping your anger issues)
- Social Life (Lack of friends or you have toxic friends/family))
- Dating Life (Lack of dating or disappointed dating life)
- Relationship (Toxic partner you have atm or had)
- Trauma
- Brain chemistry (Not always the case, but it can be)
None of us are going to know what is wrong with you, so it's something for you to reflect on yourself and I imagine your therapist can help point you in the right direction.
