Looked at the mirror while getting out of shower and was applying moisturizer on my face and as I raised my hand, I suddenly noticed my arms got much toner than they were.
I was a bit jaw-dropped, didn’t know crutches are such a good exercise.

Well... I went through a diet and a workout regimen recently (now I'm just keeping the diet, I'm having a break from the workout). So... Yeah, there were at least some gains. They might not be satisfying, but there definitely were some. However, what certainly was satisfying was that one day I looked in the mirror and noticed that my face is no longer childlike and my cheeks are no longer chubby (I mean, I've always been on the skinnier side, but for some reason my face was always childish to the extent of what's known as "babyface", and specifically my cheeks - the ones that are a part of the face, for anyone who would like to try to misunderstand - were ridiculously chubby for a grown man). Through that workout regimen combined with a rather specific, strengthening diet, my face finally became manly, and it's even taken on some likeness of a predatory animal, like a wolf, I think. It's nowhere near perfect yet, but I definitely look more serious now. Oh, there was a question about satisfying things in our lives recently... Now that I think of it, I guess I should add this to my response there.
You don't need to worry about getting to too muscular. It is harder for women to put on muscle. Reason is you have more estrogen and not as much testosterone. Lots of ladies that try to get big, end up taking performance enhancing drugs, which basically just boosts the testosterone. If they push it too far, then end up turning themselves into something that looks more like a man.
After finally finding my true happiness... yes. For a good...25 years, who looked at me as the same mofo from fuggin' elementary. I'm not joking when if you looked at my photos, I was the same kid from the beginning. And now that I found how to live life fully...98% of my family is fine with it. Other 2 percent... is my own parents.
I am glad you’ve found your happiness!
Not so much a mirror but photos. I mean I see myself pretty much everyday and I know I’m getting older but you don’t see it as much with daily graduals.
I see it a lot in photos. I don’t mean age wise only. Different hair, make up style, clothing style, social settings, and the damn laugh lines.

Yes, in fact I look a little older, but not much. My hair started falling out since my boyfriend died suddenly September 7 - three months ago. I'm finding hair in clumps on my carpet everyday. Maybe it's from the shock of his passing.
Remember when you asked Wheel Chair or Crutches?
You will not remember my answer , but it was along the lines of this , that the crutches would be a much better health move.
Can’t believe I even asked that. I am doing no so great on crutches, even danced around my crutch in front of the mirror yesterday.
*I am doing so great on crutches
I wouldn’t pick. I love being active, I’d not stand wheelchair for long. It was just a first day after surgery and my leg still felt heavy and I needed time to get accustomed to the crutches, which I did pretty soon, was fast walking since day 1.
Wow! That’s wonderful. Thankfully I have both of my legs, for which I feel very thankful and I’ll be back on my feet in a month or two. This fracture made me appreciate my life more.
there's a subtle difference between the months in which I am way more active in sports and eat more protein... than the other half of the year in which I do less, but it shows more on my legs, I would say
I'm used to it though... it's not new, just more or less definition
My HARD YOGA class, has firmed up my biceps, has given me a 'concave' abdomen and simply a 'firmer' body all over.
Yes, you are correct.
Wonderful. As for me, I lost weight on crutches, I am now 48 kg instead of 49 I was and my upper body looks much toner. Probably so is my left leg, as I am walking on it mostly.
It’s just been a month since I am using crutches. It’s a wonderful result.
@LaFemmeFatale_1... you got injured... on crutches?
I got my leg broken and I am on crutches for a month, until I am non weight bearing with my right leg.
@LaFemmeFatale_1 Sorry to hear... Hope you have a good Christmas in spite of that!
I see myself in the mirror every day, as I brush my teeth and shave. Over a long time, I notice changes (mostly with my hairline and hair color), but from day-to-day, nothing really changes.
I notice a difference from week to week. My weight and waist size don't change, but my activity level varies as does my food intake.
Ha. Oh yeah. More signs of aging every year. Sometimes changes are seasonal. I’m trying to outlast my peers.
I wouldn’t worry about building natural muscle the wholesome way. That’s a good look. Taking unnatural supplements like anabolic steroids or something like creatine is what you want to avoid. Our bodies have the blueprints for sculpting ourselves the right way.
Every cloud has a silver lining - even crutches.
Yes. Who would have imagined!
What bone did you break and how long it take you to heal?
I am glad it healed. How is it now?
I like looking at myself naked in the mirror, I definitely see a dad bod developing though, but it's not too bad at the minute. Still like looking at myself
Yes, very much so. The teenage me looks nothing like the early to mid 20s me, which looks nothing like I do now. So there has been three big changes to my appearance.
I noticed my hands have bruise marks from work and they have tanned especially in the last 4 years from working in sun.
when i'm naked i look about the same but i change my hair and makeup and styles of clothes all the time
Well when I look in the mirror my body looks like a models body. So I just be 'mirin every chance I get tbh.
Using crutches trains your triceps and shoulders.
Yes my triceps looks much more defined
That is good. It is the biggest muscle on your arms. It gives volume and streamlines it
I’ve gotten far uglier over time but besides that I feel no different than when I was graduating HS
Yes
Been doing lots of exercise and getting fitter looking
But i have noticed I'm getting older
Nicely toned is a good look.
Yes, I like it too haha, I was impressed
They were never fat, but they look leaner now and a bit more defined
No, I haven't changed a bit! :) :) :)
I don’t think you have to worry about being too muscular. You’re probably about the size of one of my legs. Lol
Yes! I like my body weight now.
Yes, and it's scary! LOL
Please
every day
