Yep, the first body I smelled was someone's mama that was rotting in the closest for about 3 days before it was found.

I’m on Long Island so I’m not too close to the city
That is Actually where some place out your Way... The accused Long Island serial killer Rex Heuermann has been indicted on a new murder charge in the killing of a fourth woman, Maureen Brainard-Barnes, who investigators believe was the first of the “Gilgo Four” to be killed, according to an indictment unsealed on Tuesday. Yeah that’s not far from me but not a place anyone would stumble upon, it’s loaded with ticks in warm weather and in the winter no one walks through there either, no reason to, it’s too far from anything that is fun to do

Only mice a few times.
Quite so.
A few times, in various stages of decomposition. Usually pretty fresh when I get to em, but some were hanging out for a week or two first. When they're bloated in the desert sun and they swell up from all the internal gasses being heated... let's just say that's not the one you want.
@BoopBoopBeep What is your career?
@7Phoenix7 I used to do things for the government, before that I was in the army.
Yes. A roommate in college died in her room and we thought she had gone home. Eventually, like a week, her family had them unlock her room (we had a suite with a shared area) and she was dead on the floor inside.
The smell is one you'll never forget and indescribable, instantly nauseating.
Apparently she had a blood vessel burst in her brain and she collapsed right there. But, since she was always out and about, it took a while to realize she was gone.
I'm a Detroit Pistons fan and they're 6-43 this season and 8-66 since last Feb.10, so I've smelled the Motor City pro roundballers' corpse for 12 months.(Throw in the University Of Detroit Mercy Dwarves'-I mean, Titans' 0-24 record and the Detroit's basketball boys are a combined 6-76 this season.)
No ma’am…. I’m happy to report, though, that the big burly gangster in the du-rag DID have a heart and return young Ricky’s football👍
@WhiteSteve Good News But Bad for the Corpse. xx

I have smelled death, but not a decaying corpse…
Yikes! Nope, can't say I have (that I know of!)
I have smelled the odor of decaying animal corpses but, fortunately, not humans.
A few, a couple of human ones and a number of animal ones
Yeah. A deer kicked the bucket on my property. Couldn’t find it for months. But I could sure smell it every time the wind blew.
Dead yes, but not or only technically decaying.
Was returning from school once. It was raining and they had fished out a man who was lying dead in the sewers for a week. He fell into an open manhole and drowned.
What was worse was that there was a cop standing guard with the corpse the whole time. I really felt for the guy. Couldn't sleep for a few days after that. I think I kept smelling that stench all the time. Kept thinking of his family
Burning bodies once when we came upon a recent wreck and one of the cars was on fire. It was a bad wreck, everyone was dead in both cars but only one was on fire.
