Urine infection in men?

I want to ask if any of you had it or your boyfriend or husband had it?

what are the reasons for having it? mine has it and it won't go away even with antibiotics,3 different types

its been a month and 1 week. we cannot have sex because his dick hurts and is very sore also its super painful to pee for him

Id appreciate more serious and medical answers.

It is pretty rare for a guy to have a UTI.

Either there is some bacteria that got in his urinary tract or it could be from sex.

Now any UTI must be treated by a doctor who will give him antibiotics. That's the only way to get rid of it.

This is the important part. Listen carefully ok?

Have the doctor get a urine specimen collection and have the doctor send it to the lab to identify exactly what bacteria is causing his infection.

Usually doctors give the standard antibiotics for UTI. They are strong too.

From my own experience, If the UTI is not gone after he finishes the entire bottle of antibiotics he could have an ecoli UTI and standard antibiotics won't kill that infection. He needs to get a specific antibiotic to kill the ecoli germ.

It comes from 💩 poop getting in there. It doesn't take much. With women they say wipe font to back. But that's no solution. With a guy it's different.

Now, in this day and age we were in, he might have stuck his penis into someone's rectum and that's how the 💩 poop got in his urinary tract.

antibiotic treatment does not always respond as expected.

There are three main reasons why this can happen:

an antibiotic-resistant bacterial strain is the cause of the cystitis;
another type of bacterium, fungus or virus may be the cause of the infection;
it may be another disease with symptoms similar to those of UTI.

It may also be that the antibiotic is wrong;

When a urine test is performed without an additional urine culture, there is a risk that the antibiotic prescribed for the infection is not the right one.

This can occur when the UTI is caused by a less common bacterial strain, or even by a fungus or virus.

I used to get them a lot. It was the result of having a crushed urethra repaired when I was 19. The graft theyvused was harvested from my thigh and it had hair growing on it. As I got older the hair got thicker and bacteria would get caught on it and I would get an infection.

He needs to see a Urologist to determine a cause. He may need a cystoscopy where a fiber optic cable is inserted into his penis so the doctor can look inside.

He needs to do this sooner rather than later. He could end up with kidney disease if he ignores it

If he took any of those COVID shots, they destroy the immune system making every single illness, infection and even the common cold a potentially serious problem. If not, then there are steps he can take to deal with this. Assuming he is drinking enough fluids and getting enough exercise he may be iodine deficient. Does he have any prostate issues? enlarged prostate or any issues passing urine in terms of ease or frequency?

He likely has some sort of STD. UTI in males is less common unless he has a structural abnormality causing his urethra to not drain properly. He may have got the STD from someone else and not wanting to transmit to you (as you state you are clean). I could likely help pinpoint the std based upon what antibiotics they have tried since pharmacy is my profession.

Managed to catch it once when running around in a t-shirt in cold weather. Was quite painful. Took me three days with lots of hot tea and water to get rid of it.
