If anyone can help I thank you. The reason I'm asking is I have high cholesterol.
In general exercise can help, including with lowering cholesterol along with whatever else your doctor recommended. However, HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) cardio is not the only way to go. I personally hate it because it’s super hard work and I don’t care for being so sweaty and so out of breath I feel like I can taste blood. LISS (Low Intensity Steady State) cardio is just as effective as HIIT and a much easier transition if you’ve never done that hardcore HIIT stuff before. It mainly depends if you want to use your body’s fat reserves for energy (LISS) or if you would rather spend your body’s carbohydrates for energy (HIIT). Good luck dealing with that tho

Of course. HIIT training has an afterburner effect up to 2h after it is finished. And high cholesterol is often a measure of visceral fat. Have that measured on a 4-point impedance balance.
It will boost your metabolism and cause you to burn more calories and lose weight. Losing weight can help lower cholesterol.
